COMEDY CENTRAL has renewed "Workaholics" for a third season, it was announced today by Kent Alterman, head of original programming and production COMEDY CENTRAL. Blake Anderson, Adam Devine, Anders Holm and Kyle Newacheck will return to work next year for the new season of all-new episodes. "It's such an honor to be able to keep 'Workaholics' going," said Alterman. "We feel like the show is one, big public service announcement, teaching the youth of America how to engage with the workplace." "We're beyond excited to get working on season three," said Anderson, Devine, Holm and Newacheck. "Unless it's gonna be hard work - we hate work." "Workaholics" has been on a roll since its second season premiere on September 20, averaging 2.1 million total viewers per week. The first five episodes of this season have garnered a 1.5 Adult 18-49 rating (up +35% vs. season one), a 3.5 Men 18- 34 rating (up +36%) and a 4.4 Men 18-24 rating (up +39%). Across its second season, "Workaholics" has been #1 in all of television in its timeslot (10:30-11:00 p.m.) with Men 18-34 and Men 18-24 and #2 in all of television with Men 18-24 on Tuesday nights behind "Tosh.0." From the minds of the hilarious and irreverent Internet sketch group Mail Order Comedy, "Workaholics" is a single camera comedy featuring three friends who work together as telemarketers from 9 to 5 and live together from 5 to 9. Dress codes, deadlines and waking up before noon are not things these guys are used to. They do their jobs and sometimes they even do them well, but they show up late, leave drunk and always live for the day... even if they don't know what day it is. Co-created by Mail Order Comedy's Blake Anderson, Adam Devine, Anders Holm and Kyle Newacheck and 5th Year's Dominic Russo and Connor Pritchard, the series stars Anderson, Devine and Holm and is directed by Newacheck. He was one of the stars and co-creators of the Comedy Central series Worka... Anderson was born in Sacramento County, California and attended Clayton Valley High School in Concord, California. He was ridiculed for his curly hair, so he shaved it off in 1998 due to peer pressure.[1] He later moved to Los Angeles to work with improvisational comedy troupes such as The Groundlings and Upright Citizens Brigade.[2] While working as a pizza delivery driver, he attended Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, where he met future co-star Adam DeVine.[ 3]. Robert Blake Anderson (born March 24, 1969) is an American football coach and former player. Anderson is currently the head coach of the Arkansas State Red Wolves football team. He was the North Carolina Tar Heels offensive coordinator in 2012 and 2013. He was previously the offensive coordinator at Southern Miss. Anderson began his playing career as a quarterback and wide receiver at Baylor University from 1987 to 1989, but tore his ACL during practice. After his recovery he chose to transfer to Sam Houston State University where he played as a wide receiver for the Bearkats from 1989 to 1991. At Sam Houston State he was named to the Southland Conference All-Academic team as a senior. During his college days he played in the I-formation and Veer offenses popular at the time.
