Morrison, S.J., Stadium Home of Creighton Soccer Named the most exciting venue to watch a college soccer match by College Soccer News Creighton Women’s Soccer 4 2014 Media Guide Morrison Stadium Highlights • The Creighton soccer programs entered a new era in 2003 with the opening of an on-campus soccer facility, Michael G . Morrison, S J. ,. Stadium . The Bluejays moved to the facility after playing home games at Tranquility Park in western Omaha from 1989 through 2002 . • The Field Turf Revolution all-weather surface makes the playing surface at Morrison Stadium one of the finest in the country . With the downtown Omaha skyline to the south, Ryan Athletic Center to the north, CenturyLink Center Omaha to the east and the Championship Center to the west, Morrison Stadium places student-athletes in the center of campus . • Since moving into the venue in 2003, nine of the 10 largest home crowds in school history have come at Morrison Stadium . • Morrison Stadium’s seating capacity is 7,500 . Construction was completed on the stadium in 2004, including a state-of- the-art video scoreboard, covered chair back seating, luxury suites, enclosed press box, concession stands and banquet/ hospitality area on the upper level . • On July 13, 2010, the United States Women’s National Team played a friendly match against Sweden at Morrison Stadium, marking the first time the national team has played a match in Nebraska . The match was televised live on ESPN . • The Creighton women’s soccer team is 68-29-15 ( 674). all-time at Morrison Stadium .
