Sanchez, Vice President Ralph Kemp, Executive Director James Baca, Director Steven Navarrete, Assoc. Director Tony Navarrete, Assoc. Director / Sec. / Treas. To All Citizens of the American Legion New Mexico Boys’ State: I said to every one of you on the day you arrived at New Mexico Boys’ State that you were going to have an experience you would remember for the rest of your life. For most of you it will be a fulfilling life experience. The friends that you made this week will be your friends for life. Your involvement in the democratic system is a responsibility that should never be taken for granted. This week will be a turning point in your life. Remember elected officials must be willing to work hard. Anything worthwhile in life requires hard work and dedica- tion. Some of you will go to college, some of you to vocational schools, and some directly into the workforce, but whatever you do continue to study and learn and above all remember—respect yourself, respect others and always offer a helping hand to anyone that might need it. You never know when the one needing it might be you. May the Almighty God bless you and guide you for the rest of your life.
