NWFB Route 2, 18 and 18P Service Reorganisation Route 23B Routeing Alteration ( 4 May 2015, Hong Kong ) Corresponding to MTR Island Line extension to Western District, effective 10 May (Sunday), New World First Bus (“NWFB”) Route 2, 18 and 18P will be reorganised while the routeing of Route 23B will be altered. Details are as follows: Route 18 Service hours and routeing of Route 18 will be adjusted. It provides unidirectional service during peak hours limited on every Monday to Friday (except public holiday). There are 6 morning peak departures from North Point (Healthy Street Central) operating at 7:45am, 8:00am, 8:15am, 8:30am, 8:45am and 9:00am. It runs via the original routeing to Harbour Road and then diverts to Connaught Road Central before terminating at Connaught Road Central near Wing Wo Street, Sheung Wan. Besides, there are 3 evening peak departures to North Point from Des Voeux Road Central near Rumsey Street, Sheung Wan operating at 6:10pm, 6:25pm and 6:40pm. It runs via Des Voeux Road Central, Connaught Road Central and Harcourt Road, diverts via Gloucester Road and then resumes its original routeing to North Point. Route 18P In conjunction with the service alteration in Route 18, North Point bound service of Route 18P will terminate at North Point (Healthy Street Central) for whole day departures. The service hours of both bounds will be lengthened with routeing adjustment. Departures from Kennedy Town (Belcher Bay) divert via Centre Street, Connaught Road West, Eastern Street, Connaught Road West in Western District while omitting Gordon Road, Electric Road, Java road and North Point Ferry Pier and diverting via Wing Hing Street and King’s Road in Causeway Bay and Tin Hau. Service hours are 6:00am to 11:00pm daily. The routeing of Kennedy Town bound service remains unchanged and the service hours are 5:30am to 0:00am daily. Bus-Bus Interchange (“BBI”) concession between Route 18/18P and Citybus Route 1 and 5B will be introduced. Passengers using the same Octopus can enjoy a free interchange at the bus stop on Des Voeux Road Central outside The Landmark to travel to Western District. Route 2 In conjunction with the service alteration in Route 18, the service of Route 2 during off-peak hours will be enhanced to 15 minutes headway on Monday to Friday. Route 23B Departures from Braemar Hill run via the original routeing to Lai Tak Tsuen, Leighton Road, divert via Hennessy Road to Queensway while omitting Queen’s Road East, and then follow the original routeing to Robinson Road. Braemar Hill bound service remains unchanged.
