Walk Details
This path follows the shoreline of Lough Swilly between Buncrana and Stragill Strand and is a pleasant and easily acces- sible walk. The sea views accross Lough Swilly are particularly impressive.
Distance: Approximately 2.3 kms (one way) Time: 1 hour (there and back) Terrain: Tarmac path and sandy beach (at Stragill Strand). Grading: Easy and relatively level for the whole route, although access to Stragill Strand at its southern end requires crossing a rough area of large stones and boulders.
Getting There
The start at the Buncrana end is at the car park area adjacent to the Buncrana Anglers Association building. To start from Stragill Strand, Carndonagh take the road between Buncrana and Linsfort and follow signs for the beach. Buncrana
