Laura Almantaité (CULTURAL AND MEDIA CONSULTING – LITHUANIA) Consultant, Producer and festival Director Laura Almantaitė started her career in audiovisual industries in 2007. She coordinated audiovisual projects at Vilnius – European Capital of Culture 2009 programme – the largest cultural and artistic project in Lithuania, co-financed by the EC. In 2011, Laura took the position of Managing Director of Vilnius Documentary Film Festival. In 2010-2012 she served as a Lecturer at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, teaching introduction to audiovisual industries and creative project management courses. Since 2008, Laura has worked on a dozen of film projects, including documentary, animation and fiction films both as a Consultant and a Producer, focusing particularly on international co-productions. Laura’s latest title as a producer is the successfully released theatrical feature documentary “RŪTA”. In 2014, Laura Almantaitė founded BLON Animation & Games Festival, remaining the festival’s Director to date. She is currently producing a VR sci-fi movie titled “Kamile”. 2-42-4 DECEMBER 2019 Timo Argillander (IPR.VC – FINLAND) Timo Argillander is Managing Partner and Co-Founder at IPR.VC, a venture capital investor specializing in media content investments. IPR.VC is funding European TV, film and animation producers who target international markets. Timo has a long background in media and tech industries as an Entrepreneur, Executive and Management Consultant. He founded the first Finnish e-learning company Brainware in his student years in 1984.He sold the company later and worked in sales and management positions at Apple and at a major Finnish media company Edita. He launched consulting company Digital Media Finland in early 2000s and developed the company into a distinguished professional services provider for managing digital transformations in media and other industries. Timo holds a master’s degree from University of Technology.

Maija Arponen (HARUWORKS – FINLAND)

Maija is focused on using children’s content to foster large scale behavioural change both in viewers and creators: she strives to use her varied background for the common good. Maija works as the Head of Development at Haruworks, a Finnish animation production company. Prior to co-founding Haruworks, Maija has worked as a licensed psychologist for families and children in various settings, including hospital, school, family guidance and refugee camps. She has also steered a peer-reviewed scientific journal. Meanwhile she has developed a parallel career as a modern glass artist.

Vanessa Chapman (VJC MEDIA / INFLORESCENT MEDIA – UNITED KINGDOM) Vanessa Chapman is an International Media Executive, whose more than 25 years in the media, has spanned all platforms. With proven experience in content and business strategy; fundraising and investment, she heads up VJC Media, a creative and business agency that works with international broadcasters, media companies, animation studios, brands and creators. She is Director of a number of media companies and is on the board of The Centurions, a networking group for professionals, predominantly in the media, digital and gaming space. She is also working on a slate of films. An award-winning Journalist, Vanessa began her broadcasting career with the BBC before joining London Weekend Television (LWT). In the late 90’s, she was Controller of Children’s and Family Programmes for the ITV Network. She went on to help develop the strategy for The LEGO Company’s entry into the global television and movie business, subsequently being appointed Managing Director of the TV and Film Company, Create TV and Film. Her credits at Create include the award-winning film/multi-platform franchise “Bionicle” and popular pre-school show “Little Robots”.

Nadia Chevallard (NEWEN DISTRIBUTION – FRANCE) Nadia Chevallard started her career in the kids animation industry as International Brand Manager at DIC Entertainment from 2002-2008 where she managed all-rights sales, took part in setting up the company’s international distribution framework, and helped lay out and implement a strategy for building international brands such as “Strawberry Shortcake”. After 3 years with key player’s Canadian production and distribution company DHX Media as Head of European sales, Nadia Chevallard joined Newen Distribution (TF1 Group) as Head of International Sales where she oversees all international sales activity for a slate of content across all genres (fiction, documentaries, animation). Working closely with the group’s animation production studio Blue Spirit (“Arthur & the children of the Round table”, “Loopdidoo”, “Mysterious Cities of Gold”), she also plays a key role in the evaluation of third party’s animation projects for international distribution.

Marie-Josée Corbeil (NATIONAL BANK OF CANADA – CANADA) Ms. Marie-Josée Corbeil holds an MBA and is a member of the Quebec Bar. She has been working in the arts and media sector for over 30 years. She started her career as an entertainment Lawyer. After practicing entertainment law for more than seven years, she joined Cinar Entertainment, one of the then world leaders in the animation industry, as Executive Vice-President, Business and Corporate Affairs. After more than ten years at Cinar, she joined Vivavision as VP of international affairs and acted as Executive Producer on several animated international co- productions. Then, in 2002, Marie-Josée, with her experience in the television industry and her in-depth knowledge of financial arrangements and international co-productions, co-founded Subsequence Entertainment where she was Co-President and Executive Producer. The Subsequence Entertainment programmes and series have won numerous awards including several animated series produced with France such as “Bali”, “Ariol” and a series of specials co-produced with . Marie-Josée Corbeil joined the National Bank of Canada’s Creative Industries Group in 2011 and is currently Senior Account Manager and Team Lead for the Group. As a specialist in financing international projects with complex financial structures, she has played a role in a wide range of financing and acquisitions transactions for entertainment companies. She has notably financed the On Entertainment’s animated feature films “The Little Prince” and “Playmobil” and the English language international feature film “The Death & Life of John F. Donovan” written and directed by Xavier Dolan.

20 Jo Daris (M4E – GERMANY) Jo started his career in marketing working for major FMCG companies. He moved into the children’s area in 1999, working in the toy industry in various roles (going from sales to product development, working with well-known licenses such as “Pokemon”, “Winx”, “Yu-Gi-Oh”, “Avatar”, “Totally Spies”, etc.). In 2006, Jo moved to the family entertainment sector, joining forces with Studio 100 to develop the international business. Jo was instrumental in the acquisition of E.M. Entertainment in Germany, the creation of in France and the opening up of the English-speaking markets (US/UK). In September 2013, Jo joined m4e after a short break from the industry. Today he is CCO at m4e, managing the company’s key brands and heading up the new business department. Since the acquisition of m4e by Studio 100, he is happy to be back where it all started.

Charlotte de la Gournerie (SUN CREATURE STUDIO – DENMARK) In 2014, Charlotte de la Gournerie moved from France to join Sun Creature Studio as a Co-owner and a Producer. Sun Creature Studio is a production company based in Copenhagen, Denmark. With 2 successful crowdfunding campaigns for the transmedia animated project “The Reward – Tales of Alethrion”, Charlotte continues producing animation in different formats. She has been involved in the production of TV series and commercials. Charlotte is currently producing Sun Creature Studio’s first animated feature documentary film – “FLEE”, and its virtual reality format – “FLEE VR”.

Sarah Fell (TURNER BROADCASTING SYSTEMS – UNITED KINGDOM) Sarah Fell is the Director of Original Series, Kids EMEA for Turner Broadcasting. She was the Executive and series Producer on “The Amazing World of Gumball”, Cartoon Network’s UK animation hit show and is currently overseeing a number of series and development projects. Sarah has worked in the animation industry for 18 years and has produced 2D/3D/Cel-Action/Stop Frame, and Mixed Media shows. She has worked on co-productions in Canada, Korea and Europe, set up studios for in-house productions and worked for both independent production companies, and broadcasters. Sarah started her career as an Animation Director after graduating from the NFTS at Absolutely Productions, then moved to , where she worked as a Producer on numerous productions including “Planet Sketch”/ “Big Jeff”, and “Timmy Time” which was nominated for and won the Pre-School Bafta.

Juha Fiilin (FIILIN GOOD FILMS – FINLAND) Juha Fiilin is the creative lead of Fiilin Good Films. He is a winning multidisciplinary artist with 20 years’ experience in film, TV and online projects in 10 countries. Fiilin Good Films focuses on the creation and development of original concepts into transmedia properties. The company’s strength lies in concept and visual development, writing and pre-production. They are team players and enjoy a co-production – they also do in-house production, like their multi-award winning short film “Job Interview” and our latest addition, a motion comic style web series “The Beginning”. These are both available on Yle Areena, social media and are part both of their Divine Consultants animated universe. Fiilin Good Films is a competitive team of global nomads and therefore used to working remotely – currently in between Finland, Spain, UK, Ireland and Denmark. They are happy to meet you wherever you are. The Founder, Juha Fiilin, regularly attends meetings in Helsinki, Barcelona and London.

Antti Haikala (ANIMA VITAE – FINLAND) Antti Haikala is one of the most important pioneers of Finnish 3D animation scene. He co-founded his animation studio Anima Vitae year 2000 and since then has been taking part in numerous animation projects in varying roles. The best-known works that he is credited for are animated feature films “Niko – The Way To The Stars” (2008) and “Niko – Little Brother, Big Trouble” (2012) where Antti worked as a producer. Both films have been sold to over 100 countries. Antti’s biggest professional ambition is to create a good quality animation with relatively small resources. Building up a studio in a small country has taught him that innovation, creativity and clever project management can save tons of money but also lead to unique results.

Simo Hämäläinen (ROVIO ENTERTAINMENT – FINLAND) Simo Hämäläinen is the Head of Rovio’s Brand Licensing that manages both consumer products such as toys, apparel and location-based entertainment, and Content Licensing which includes all animated content, movies, books and comics. Simo has been with Rovio for six years and was the VP of Marketing and Promotions before taking over as the Head of all licensing operations. Simo has a wealth of experience in working with big consumer brands. Prior to joining Rovio he held several sales and marketing roles at Heineken over a period of seven years, working with brands like Heineken, Sol, Fosters and Pepsi. Simo holds a Master’s degree in industrial engineering and management.

22 Anttu Harlin (GIGGLEBUG ENTERTAINMENT – FINLAND) Anttu Harlin is the Co-founder and CEO of Gigglebug Entertainment, an animation IP studio that creates and produces positive kids’ content for the global market. The Helsinki-based company’s mission is to have a meaningful impact on the world through fun-filled entertainment on multiple platforms. In recent news, Gigglebug Entertainment is proud to have provided concept development for Disney’s “101 Dalmatian Street” TV series, as well as short form and digital content creation and production for the Disney property. Previously, Anttu is credited as the Co-creator, Co-writer and Executive Producer of the pre-school favorite “Gigglebug” – with over 1 million app downloads and #1 chart positions in 64 countries. The second season of the 52x5’ “Gigglebug” TV series is now available and it is supported by an award-winning portfolio of brand extensions in apps, books, music and live shows. “I see myself as an entrepreneur who’s passionate about storytelling, comedy and high-quality kids content. I aspire to create meaningful and long-lasting connections between audience and content, regardless of platform. And I love surfing.”

Petri Kemppinen (NORDISK FILM & TV FOND – NORWAY) Established in 1990 and based in Oslo, Nordisk Film & TV Fond’s primary purpose is to promote film and TV productions of high quality in the five Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden), by providing support for top-up financing of feature films, TV-fiction/drama-series and creative documentaries. Nordisk Film & TV Fond is also secretariat to the prestigious Nordic Council Film Prize and arranges and hosts the annual event Nordic Talents held in Copenhagen each autumn. Petri Kemppinen has been CEO of the Fund since 2013. He has an MA in Communication from the University of Helsinki, a background in journalism and publishing before starting his television and film career in the mid-1990s. He has worked nine years at The Finnish Broadcasting Company, YLE and between 2005 and 2013 at The Finnish Film Foundation. He was a member of Eurimages’ Board of Management 2006-2013. He is the daily Manager at the Fund, decides upon all funding and assesses applications for feature films, TV fiction, distribution, , and film cultural initiatives.

Tamsin Lyons (INK AND LIGHT – FINLAND) Tamsin Lyons is a Co-Founder and Producer at Ink and Light. The company has been telling stories that entertain and engage since 2012, whether through short films (“The Red Herring”), series (“Harry and Bip”) or specials (“Hopscotch and the Christmas Tree”). Their previous work has travelled to festivals including Sundance, Toronto and Annecy, and been broadcast all over the world by channels including YLE, RTE, Sky, Disney and Radio Canada. In 2018, Ink and Light was honoured to be nominated for the Cartoon Producer of the Year Tribute. Tamsin is a graduate from the UK’s National Film and Television School’s MA in Producing. After graduation she worked at Oscar-winning BreakThru Films for six years, developing and producing a slate of live-action and animated projects. She splits her time between Ink and Light’s bases in Finland and her native Ireland.

Marika Makaroff (GUTSY ANIMATIONS – FINLAND) Marika Makaroff is an awarded Content Creator and Creative Director from Finland. She is the CEO and Founder of Gutsy Animations. Marika has worked over 20 years in media, mainly in executive roles – she has been the Creative Director in Fremantle Media and Filmlance International and the CEO in Fremantle Media Finland and Friday TV. She has also produced drama and sold content to over 70 countries. Marika is currently working as Creative Director and Executive Producer for innovative new animated television series, “Moominvalley”. Based on the beloved Moomin books and comic strips by Finnish author and illustrator Tove Jansson, the series is produced and distributed by Gutsy Animations and directed by Steve Box, who won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film in 2006 for “Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit”. “Moominvalley” will premiere in spring 2019.

Marie-Laure Marchand (INTERNATIONAL L&M EXPERT – FRANCE) Former Senior Vice-President of global consumer products at Xilam, Marie-Laure Marchand has a broad expertise in all aspects of international consumer products, brand development and the management of audiovisual properties working directly with broadcasters, new media partners, agents and licensees all around the globe. A unique and solid view on how to bring brands to an all-around global level. She brings a 25-year top notch experience acquired most notably at Nelvana, ST100, Brand Loyalty or Xilam.

Lionel Marty (APC KIDS – FRANCE) Lionel Marty started in the international distribution of TV programmes in 1994 at Tele Images, then specialized in kids’ content in 1999 when he launched the Distribution Department of France Animation. He later became President of Worldwide Distribution, CP and Digital at Moonscoop, where he worked for 10 years. Lionel has received many international awards: Best Distributor by Kidscreen, Best Distributor at Cartoon Forum and several Best TV France International Animation Exports. His credentials: Building kids’ IPs on an international level by optimizing sales and exposure to enable licensing & merchandising exploitation (“Titeuf”, “Geronimo Stilton”, “Casper’s Scare School”, “Fantastic 4”, “Code Lyoko”, “Chloe’s Closet” & “Kid-E-Cats”).

Sarah Muller (SONY PICTURES ENTERTAINMENT – UNITED KINGDOM) Sarah Muller is Vice-President of Children’s and Youth Programming (Western Europe International Networks) at Sony Pictures Television with responsibility for the Pop and Sony Music Channels. Prior to that, she was Head of Children’s at Channel 5 where she was responsible for the Milkshake! brand refresh, content portfolio overhaul and studio reorganization. Sarah was Creative Director, Scripted, Animation and Co-Productions for CBBC in- house before that, a role that grew from her work as Head of CBBC Acquisitions, Animation and Drama Development. Passionate about all kids’ content, but especially Drama and Animation, commissioned projects include “Danger Mouse”, “Strange Hill High”, “Creeped Out”, “Harriet’s Army”, “Wolfblood”, “The Dumping Ground”, “The Worst Witch”, “Katie” & “Just William”.

24 Olivier Nomen (NEW TRAILS – BELGIUM) Graduated in finance and business administration from the Solvay Business School (Brussels), Olivier has been active in the animation industry since 1994. He started at Dupuis Audiovisuel (Paris), the animation company of Editions Dupuis, a major comic publishing group in Europe, where he occupied successively the positions of legal & business affairs, Managing Director of the production studio and Executive Producer. Freelance since 2007, Olivier has been acting as Associate Producer or legal and business affairs for several French and Belgian production companies such as Normaal Animation (“Tangerine & Cow”, …), Thuristar (“My Knight and Me”, “Mush-Mush and the Mushables”) and Studio 100 Animation (“Maya the Bee”, “Heidi”, “Arthur and the Minimoys”, “Galactic Agency”, etc.). In parallel, Olivier has started in 2017 a mission for IMPS, owner of the “Smurfs” property for the development and production of a new TV adaptation of the famous characters created by Peyo and has created in 2018 a production company in Belgium, Bardaf! Productions.

Emmanuèle Pétry Sirvin (DANDELOOO – FRANCE) Emmanuèle has been able to bring together her passion for books into the world of animation thanks to “The Treehouse Stories” series on CANAL+ (3rd season in production). Even if it won the International Emmy Awards as best pre-school series in 2017, this programme is only the youngest of all her “babies”. As Head of the European office of Nelvana during 17 years she helped many programmes get made and moreover be watched all over the world: “Babar”, “The adventures of Tintin”, “Franklin the Turtle”, “Maurice Sendak’s Little Bear”, “Rolie Polie Olie”... She also initiated “Mouk” when in charge of development at . Now a happy partner at Paris- based studio Dandelooo she is nurturing “Stinky Dog” for France Télévisions and the newest kid on the block: “Billy the Cowboy Hamster”. Her strong experience in the international distribution allows her to share her enthusiasm for children’s programmes with broadcasters from Iceland to Hong Kong, from South Africa to Argentina. At Cartoon Forum in 2017, Dandelooo received the Cartoon Tribute for Best Producer of the year.

Katharina Pietzsch (ZDF ENTERPRISES – GERMANY) In 2003 Katharina joined ZDF Enterprises as a trainee then moved on to work in the kids/youth/family space for the company as Manager Acquisitions & Co-productions. In her current role as Director ZDFE.junior she is responsible for sales and management of key-account and global clients as well as Scandinavian partners. As part of the ZDFE. junior co-production and investment team, she is always on the lookout for great new concepts and ideas and looking for opportunities to invest into kids, youth and family programming. ZDFE.junior’s portfolio ranges from pre-school to tween, teen, young adult and family audiences, and is both live-action and animation.

Ilkka Rahkonen (BUSINESS TAMPERE – FINLAND) Ilkka Rahkonen is in charge of boosting Tampere as a cost-effective, ambitious and international media production hub. Currently he is working as a Media Business Development Director at Tampere region economic development agency Business Tampere. This position includes also running Film Tampere, which is the local film commission. Ilkka has previously worked at Aito Media where he acted as a Director of new business opportunities. He has also worked at Finnish National Broadcasting Company YLE as well as at SBS Radio.

Teija Raninen (WEST FINLAND FILM COMMISSION – FINLAND) Teija Raninen has a background in financing and business development. She is the Head of Experience Industries in Turku Business Region. The experience industries consist of game, film and tourism. She has run the West Finland Film Commission (WFFC) since 2009 as a Film Commissioner. WFFC is located in the city of Turku where one of the world’s best animation school is located. Therefore Turku is a hometown for many animation studios and animators. WFFC offers extensive services for film and animation professionals in the Turku region.

Vicky Schroderus (FINNISH BROADCASTING COMPANY (YLE) – FINLAND) Vicky Schroderus is Acquisitions Executive for YLE Television, the Finnish Broadcasting Company. She has overall responsibility for acquiring more than 60% of the 1000 hours transmitted annually of children’s programmes on YLE2, Finland’s leading children’s channel. In addition, Vicky oversees all aspects from legal, dubbing to scheduling. Vicky joined YLE in 1997 and, before her current role, acquired non-English fiction, music and extreme sports. Prior to joining YLE, Vicky earned her Master’s degree in Business Administration at the Turku School of Economics. She started her career at the market research department at Schweitzerische Mobiliar in Switzerland and also held positions in Germany and India.

Virginie Sergent (VMS CONSULTING PROJECTS – UNITED KINGDOM) Virginie was EMEA consumer products Director for Ubisoft and has provided consulting services to independent studios. She contributed to the transformation of Ubisoft from a videogame publisher to a brand-licensing pioneer with products ranging from internal development of figurines to apparel, toys and games, accessories, publishing and stationery. Now she runs VMS Consulting Projects, an Entertainment brand-licensing consultancy. Her particular skill is to bring together the experience she has, and the knowledge she’s accrued, to work out what the company needs to do to develop and manage their brand in order to deliver sustainable profits. This ranges from delivering commercial and brand strategies, to sourcing new business partners, licensees and retailers, to negotiating terms, managing contracts and developing licensed products to get their name out there.

Tuomas Sorjamaa (FERLY – FINLAND) Tuomas Sorjamaa is Licensing & Acquisitions Manager at Ferly. Ferly is an entertainment company specializing in storytelling through TV, film, apps, publishing and licensing. Based in LA, Helsinki and Vancouver, we discover, develop and create original brands with the potential to build multimedia franchises around them. At Ferly, Tuomas handles licensing sales and new IP acquisitions and development. Previously he has worked as Writer, Editor, and children’s Publisher, overseeing projects ranging from picture books to transmedia storytelling and alternate reality gaming. Tuomas holds Master’s degrees in both intellectual property law and English language and literature.

Kristel Tõldsepp (A FILM ESTONIA – ESTONIA) Kristel Tõldsepp is a Producer of the animation studio A Film Estonia since 1996 and the Owner of the same company since 2011. She has a MA degree in economics and has attended several workshops of TV and animation production around Europe. Kristel has been a Production Manager of 20 animated feature films and 10 TV series. She has worked for films like “Asterix and the Vikings”, “Niko and the Way to the Stars” and “Titeuf – the Movie”. She has also produced 8 short films and TV series “Things You Think”. Currently A Film Estonia is co-producing animated feature film “Raggie” in collaboration with A. Film Production from Denmark.

Samuli Torssonen (TROLL PRODUCTIONS – FINLAND) Samuli Torssonen did his first computer generated animations when he was 13 years old – in 1992 when computers were slow and bulky. His career of visual effects began while he finished his zero-budget scifi-spoof feature “Star Wreck: In the Pirkinning” in 2005 (available for free on YouTube). Samuli was involved in “Iron Sky” (2012) feature film right from the beginning. He was the visual effects supervisor and led the visual effects team. The visual effects house Troll was born right after the heavy film production. As a VFX Supervisor Samuli is responsible for planning visual effects for commercials, TV series and feature films. This includes estimating the amount of work needed and the used techniques for client projects. And usually Samuli is also handling the on-set-supervising for visual effects. Whenever he has some time left he prefers to light and render 3D animations and maybe even animate something! And he is also planning for the next “Star Wreck” film.

Ferenc Varsanyi (NMHH MEDIA COUNCIL – HUNGARY) Film Director, Screen Writer, Producer, Curator. Throughout his 35-year career in the entertainment industry, Ferenc won multiple awards including a daytime Emmy for directing the first season of Klasky Csupo’s “Rugrats”. He worked all over the world from Hollywood to Korea, from Taiwan to Europe directing major animation projects. Born and raised in Hungary, he has been writing and directing live action, animated, and mixed genre films since the late 1970’s. He has written, directed hundreds of live action and animation projects. At present he teaches in two film schools: MOME University and Film and Theatre University, and continues to be a Screenwriter/Film Director and Co-producer of his own projects. He works as Advisor for the Hungarian Media Council. Since 2011, he is the President of the Animation Committee / Media Support and Asset Management Fund.

Nicholas Walters (HOPSTER – UNITED KINGDOM) Nicholas Walters is Founder and CEO of Hopster, the app that helps kids learn through the stories they love. Founded by Walters in late 2012, Hopster’s app combines hundreds of episodes of premium kids TV shows with a world of songs, games and learning interactivity. Now launched in three languages and over 100 countries, Hopster has topped the App Store grossing charts in over 20 markets, and been recognized by Apple as a ‘Best Of’ app of the year for three years running. The service was the winner of the prestigious award for “Best Streaming Video” service at the Kidscreen Awards 2016 and 2018 and was named the UK’s Best International Growth Business in 2018 (UK Angel Investment Awards 2018). Initially available via the Apple and Android App Stores, Hopster has since announced distribution partnerships with manufacturers and telcos, including Vodafone, TalkTalk and Amazon Channels. Before founding Hopster Walters spent six years at Viacom International Media Networks, most recently as General Manager for Russia and CIS. Walters was named the UK’s Startup Entrepreneur of the Year (2015). He is a recovering strategy Consultant.

Dr. Irene Wellershoff (ZDF – GERMANY) Dr. Irene Wellershoff is Head of the Children’s Fictional Department of ZDF. In television she started out with documentaries and created the pre-school show “Siebenstein”, which has now been running for 30 years. Irene is responsible for many animations series (for example: “Wir Kinder aus dem Möwenweg”, “Petzi”, “Wickie”; “Maja the Bee”, “Der kleine Ritter Trenk”, “Der kleine Drache Kokosnuss”), theatrical co-productions (for example: “Bibi & Tina”, “Pettersson und Findus”, “Timm Thaler”, “Auf Augenhöhe”) and the all-age fairy-tale-films of ZDF “Märchenperlen”. Her programmes have won many awards, among them Prix Jeunesse, Goldener Spatz, Lola- German Film Award, Grimme Preis and lately two Emmy nominations.

Tom Carpelan (FILMKOMPANIET – FINLAND) Tom has a Master of Economic Sciences. He has over 30 years’ knowledge and expertise in children’s films international rights and distribution. His skills also encompass a broad understanding of concept-building and branding for children’s properties, such as “The Mole” and the “Moomins”. He is also an Executive Producer for amongst other three theatrical animated films.

Christian Davin (CHRISTIAN DAVIN PRODUCTION – FRANCE) With a PhD in Law and Master of Laws, Christian Davin, started his professional career in 1975 as an international Business lawyer. In 1989, he became President of France Animation until 1997. Then he founded Alphanim which he sold ten years later to Gaumont. He has produced over 800 hours of animation for television and cinema. He is now an investment partner into Monello Productions (France) and WOW! Unlimited (Canada). He also acts as President of Cartoon since 2009.

Christophe Erbes (THEO DE MARCOUSIN – FRANCE) Christophe studied maths, telecommunication science and holds an MBA. After having done some kids TV (CANAL+, S-RTL, Nickelodeon, Disney), he now consults (Orange, Ubisoft, EBU, TF1 International, MFG, Magelis, Normaal, Copenhagen Bombay), hosts (MipJr and Mip, Annecy, APD, Cartoon, European Animation Awards) and writes as Theo de Marcousin (see Facebook) books, movies and series (e.g. “Maya the Bee”, “Calimero”, “Ella, Oscar & Hoo”, “Driver Dan’s Story Train”, “Squids”, “Flying Squirrels”, “Kiwi and Stritt”, “Shelland”).

John Lomas-Bullivant (KICKBACK MEDIA – UNITED KINGDOM) John Lomas-Bullivant is the Founder of Kickback Media a children’s IP consultancy which helps businesses operating in the children’s media space developing Children’s Story Content. John has over 25 years’ experience working in children’s media with experience gained at Senior Executive level at Bloomsbury Publishing – Director of IP & Brand Development, Fireback Entertainment – Joint Managing Director, TV-Loonland – Director of Programmes, Pearson Television – Head of Animation and HiT Entertainment – Head of Development & Co-productions. Kickback Media is developing a new slate of children’s publishing IP and applying a TV style development strategy to creating new publishing IP by actively identifying new publishing ideas and unpublished writing talent, with the creative target being high concept middle grade/young adult fiction.
