The National Conference is always planned as Civil Air Patrol’s premier event of the year, and this one is no exception. In recognition of our 70th anniversary as the U.S. Air Force Aux- iliary, we are honored to host the Secretary of the Air Force, Heather Wilson, as our banquet keynote speaker. And, you will notice an emphasis on our proud tradition as a force mul- tiplier and a member of the Air Force Total Force throughout the conference. This event is about YOU and the myriad ways in which you continue to carry forth the ban- ner of professionalism and selfless commitment to service that is CAP’s rich legacy. Your accomplishments are great and many, and your never-ending desire to find ways to get the job done more effectively and efficiently is nothing short of amazing. The opportunities to learn and grow in your chosen volunteer roles, to meet and greet old friends and to make new ones and to be recognized for superior performance in service to communities across America are among the National Conference’s top attractions. But we are also gathered here to have fun and I plan to join you in doing just that. Best wishes for an adventurous and truly outstanding experience in Anaheim! Warm regards, MARK E.
