Fantastic Four: Marvel's Newest Cosmic Threat Just RIPPED Galactus' Armor Off Galactus, the devourer of worlds, has repeatedly posed a monumental threat to the Marvel Universe. This massive force of nature is nearly insurmountable in terms of sheer cosmic power. Recently, however, the "antithesis" of Galactus used an immense amount of power to return the cosmic giant to his original, powerless state. This earlier incarnation of Earth was a highly advanced civilization, of which Galan was its chief scientific explorer, much like Reed Richards of the Fantastic Four. Unfortunately, Taa, along with the rest of the universe, was doomed within Galan's lifetime. Due to the multiversal renewal cycle, during which the universe was destroyed and then reborn, Taa was plunging towards its end. Galan was sent out into the universe to find a way to save Taa, but he found nothing. Ultimately, taking a few survivors from his home world, Galan ventured Fantastic Four: Coming of Galactus! towards the "cosmic egg", the center to which the universe was inevitably plunging. Everyone on the expedition died except for Galan, who was imbued with great power. In fact, Galan Fantastic Four: Coming of Galactus! with the sentience of the multiverse itself. Surviving the multiversal renewal cycle, Galan was reborn as Galactus, a cosmic behemoth with immense power. So great is his power that Galactus needs to consume entire planets to satiate his hunger. Galactus is usually accompanied by a herald, who is sent out to find a planet for his master to consume. Suddenly, a tear in the fabric separating the universe from its antimatter counterpart, the Negative Zone, rips open. Emerging from this tear comes a horrifying creature, referred to as Galactus' "antithesis. Almost immediately, Galactus and Antithesis begin to fight, leaving the Surfer shocked to see someone able to combat his master. Even more shocking, however, is how quickly Antithesis gains the upper hand. Antithesis Fantastic Four: Coming of Galactus! swiftly banishes Galan from the universe, tossing him into the Fantastic Four: Coming of Galactus! Zone. This display of power is startling, to say the least. Considering Galactus' godlike cosmic power, Antithesis' handling of the world devourer is truly impressive. Yet it also makes sense that Antithesis is able to deal with Galactus so easily. For one thing, Antithesis is the antimatter counterpart to Galactus, possessing abilities that mirror the cosmic Fantastic Four: Coming of Galactus!. It's apparent that this includes energy absorption and manipulation, similarly to how Galactus consumes energy from planets. Later on in this issue, Anithesis feeds others with his own energy, demonstrating the scope of his power cosmic, which is at least comparable to Galactus' power. If Antithesis is able to feed a great deal of energy into planets full of sentient beings, it's no surprise that he can also drain a being such as Galactus of his own energy. Additionally, being from the Negative Zone, Antithesis naturally serves as an opposing force to Galactus. Considering how antimatter easily destroys anything from the positive matter universe, Anithesis, by nature of being Galactus' antimatter counterpart, should be Fantastic Four: Coming of Galactus! natural deterrent for the world devourer. Antithesis is, very literally, the antithesis to Galactus himself. While Galactus is an all-powerful, world-devouring force in the universe, Antithesis is at least as dangerous and even more merciless than his positive matter counterpart. Fantastic Four Epic Collection Vol. 3: The Coming of Galactus by Stan Lee Brief Summary: Maximus fires his Atmo-Gun with the intent to destroy the human race. However, the gun fails and Maximus resorts to creating a negative zone around the Great Refuge that separates the Inhumans from the rest of the world. The Fantastic Four escape and head back to the Baxter Building. There they are visited by the Watcher who warns them Fantastic Four: Coming of Galactus! the coming of Galactus. The Watcher tried to hide the Earth from his herald, the Silver Surfer, but was unsuccessful. The Surfer arrives and summons his master. Detailed Summary: Maximus fires his Atmo-Gun. While the Fantastic Four: Coming of Galactus! produced by the weapon proves ineffective against Inhumans, it has the potential to wreak havoc against normal human beings. The ground of the Great Refuge trembles from the power of the weapon and everyone is thrown about. Maximus cackles with glee as he envisions the deaths of millions of helpless humans. For all of his mad genius, however, Maximus' plan fails. Aside from a Fantastic Four: Coming of Galactus! massive ground tremors, humanity is perfectly safe. Gorgon and Karnak make a move to apprehend Maximus, but he darts past them and heads towards his Atmo-Gun. He reverses the polarity of the weapon, creating a null field of negative energy to slowly encapsulate the Great Refuge. Reed knows that there is nothing they can do to counter the effects of a complete negative zone. Reed, Sue and Ben race to escape from the city, but Johnny wants to stay behind. He doesn't want to leave Crystal. Crystal wants to remain with Johnny as well, but the rest of her family draw her back. Ben scoops Johnny up and manages to get outside of the null field barrier just as it completely seals the Great Refuge off from the rest of the world. Everyone feels Johnny's Fantastic Four: Coming of Galactus!, and he is convinced that he will never see Crystal again. The team boards their private charter and returns to the United States. Meanwhile in the depths of outer space, a sleek, shining being known as the Silver Surfer streaks Fantastic Four: Coming of Galactus! the cosmos atop a metallic surfboard. While soaring through the Andromeda Galaxy, he draws the attention of the Skrulls. The Skrulls know that wherever the Silver Surfer appears, his master, Galactus, cannot be far behind. Terrified, the Skrulls do everything they can to conceal their world Fantastic Four: Coming of Galactus! the Surfer's perceptions. In New York, the Fantastic Four arrive home to witness a most startling spectacle. The entire skyline appears as if it had caught on fire. The Human Torch flies through the city canyons to get a closer look, but panicking New Yorkers begin to suspect that the Torch may actually be responsible for the strange phenomena. The FF return to the Baxter Building and Reed sequesters himself inside of his laboratory to analyze the situation. The flames in the sky dissipate giving way to an unending field of space debris. The powerful being known as the Watcher appears inside of Reed's laboratory. He explains that he is responsible for the atmospheric disturbances, for he has been attempting to conceal Earth's existence from the attention of the Silver Surfer. He further explains that the Surfer is the advance scout of Galactus, a powerful cosmic being that consumes the elemental energies of entire worlds, leaving them as little more than dried, lifeless husks. The Surfer meanwhile, investigates the debris field, and finds Earth hidden beneath it. He flies to the roof of the Fantastic Four: Coming of Galactus! Building and sends out a cosmic signal for Galactus. The FF race to the top of the building, and the Thing rams into the Surfer knocking him off the edge. The Surfer is no longer a major concern however. In the sky above, Galactus' planet devouring world ship, Taa II, appears in the skies above Manhattan.

MARVEL/ DC SECRET FILES During these sessions you will take place of one of these superheroes from both worlds to discuss the take on action, the strategy, explain the reasons to proceed from certain way and giving enough intelligence and ideas to approach conflicted countries and regions where certain heroes from an specific nationality couldn’t enter due to political motives. OVERVIEW Dangerous objects and devices have fallen into the hands of both Marvel and DC villains. It is the mission of the UN to assign rescue missions of these objects located in different parts of both universes to avoid a possible collision of worlds and being used against humanity. The General Assembly of the United Nations and the Security Council has given special powers to heroes of different countries (and universes) to take action on behalf of the governments of the world to avoid a catastrophe and to be able to fight with the opposing forces that have taken possession of these devices, threatening humanity with them and disrupting world peace forming a Special Force. Recon missions have been done by Black Widow, Catwoman, Hawkeye and Plastic Man and we have gathered information of different objects that are guarded by villains in different locations of both universes. Some in the Marvel universe and others in the DC universe. Each artifact has been enclosed in a magic bubble that prevents its use to any being that has possession of it. But this enchantment created by Doctor Strange and Doctor Fate has expiration time. Within 48 hours, it will be deactivated and anyone who has any of these devices in their possession will be able to freely use them.

While it is obvious. that these comic books can be used in the classroom as a source of reading material, it is tot so obvious that these comic books, with great economy, simplicity, and narrative density, can be used to further introduce novice readers to the techniques found in narrative and to the terms employed in the study and discussion of a narrative. The output of the Marvel Conics Group in particular is literate, is both narratively and pbSlosophically sophisticated, and is ethically and morally responsible. Some of the narrative tecbntques found in the stories, such as the Spider-Man episodes, include foreshadowing, a dramatic fiction narrator, flashback, irony, symbolism, metaphor, Biblical and historical allusions, and mythological allusions.4MKM1 4 4 *********************************************************************** * Reproductions supplied by EDRS are the best that can be made * * from the original document. * *********************************************************************** ) U SOEPANTMENTO, HEALD.. • The Silver Surfer Story/Outline
THE SILVER SURFER STORY/OUTLINE DRAFT 1 “BATTLECRY” WRITTEN BY LARRY BRODY TEASER 1. EXT. THE SOUL MASTER DIMENSION. A scene we’ve witnessed before—but a more pleasant version this time. It’s the SILVER SURFER, SHALLA BAL, and the VIRAL OVERMIND, working together to save Zenn-La and the rest of the planets in this dimension. Except that this time Shalla Bal is not left behind. Instead, she makes it through just in time, rushing into the Silver Surfer’s arms! The Surfer starts to kiss her, and now Shalla Bal vanishes, only her voice remaining, crying out that she is in a dark, frightening place, and begging for the Surfer’s help in getting her out. 2. EXT. SPACE NEAR ZENN-LA. The Surfer soars all around, searching—and awakens to discover that he is flying upward from the now safe Zenn-La…and that everything that just happened was a dream. Yet even now he hears Shalla 2 Bal calling to him, her voice fading out only after the dream has ended. 3. As the Surfer ponders this, he realizes that he is hearing another distress call through a COM BEAM. It’s the leader of a group of REFUGEES, fleeing from a planet that has just fallen to the KREE EMPIRE, and asking for a safe haven. Right behind the Refugees is a KREE FLEET, and the pursuers begin FIRING THEIR ENERGY WEAPONS, hitting not only the Refugees but the Silver Surfer as well! He’s hit again and again in rapid succession, reeling weakly to one knee, as we FADE OUT.
