Marvel Magic Quite the Strange World, This One. You're Probably Familiar
Marvel Magic Quite the strange world, this one. You’re probably familiar with it -- maybe you’ve even been here before. But there’s more to it than what you’ve seen in the past. Underneath the spandex and the heroics on the surface rests an even stranger world, one of magic and mysticism, gods and demons. The myths and legends of the past are largely true, from the court of king Arthur to the gods of Mount Olympus, strange and powerful beings have walked this world and the myriad of others connected to it. Even in the modern day, when much of the magic in the world has been supplanted by science and the heroes and monsters of old have been replaced by newer breeds, the myths of the past have far from vanished. Many have blended together: Thor, the Nordic god of Thunder, and Stephen Strange, the Sorcerer Supreme of Earth’s dimension, have both served on the Avengers, earth’s mightiest heroes. Even science and magic are not completely incompatible and some brilliant few have managed to mate them into something greater than the sum of its parts. Mostly this is a world of stories, many and varied. You are of course no stranger to forging stories and whatever tale you weave in this world is sure to be an interesting one. Here’s 1000 CP to decide the beginning of your story below. Choose wisely, because you’ll be spending the next decade here. Location Where will your story start? You can choose to begin anywhere on earth that you could reasonably be. -

In order to retain its trademark, Marvel has published a Captain Marvel title at least once every few years since, leading to a number of ongoing serieslimited seriesand one-shots featuring a range of characters using the Captain Marvel alias. Mar-Vell eventually wearies of his superiors' malicious intent and allies himself with Earth, and the Kree Empire brands him a traitor. From then on, Mar-Vell fights to protect Earth Captain Marvel: Death of Captain Marvel all threats. He was later revamped by Roy Thomas and Gil Kane. Having been exiled to the Negative Zone by the Supreme Intelligencethe only way Mar-Vell can temporarily escape is to exchange atoms with Rick Jones by means of special wristbands called Nega-Bands. The process of the young man being replaced in a flash by the older Captain Marvel: Death of Captain Marvel was a nod to the original Fawcett Captain Marvel, which had young Billy Batson says the magic word "Shazam" to transform into the hero. With the title's sales still flagging, Marvel allowed Jim Starlin to conceptually revamp the character, [6] although his appearance was little changed. -

Avengers Vol 1 Chapter 7: Space Pirates Within Seconds, the Entire
Earth-717: Avengers Vol 1 Chapter 7: Space Pirates Within seconds, the entire Senatorium was in chaos. The Dark Revenant opened fire on the Nova cruisers surrounding the space station, completely taking them by surprise. The two Pariahs also fired their main laser cannons, and together managed to effortlessly slice apart a Nova warship. The smaller Skrull vessels moved in on the defensive fleet, and the Skrull starfighters began swarming around any targets within range. Adora immediately gathered the Senate members and had them surrounded by Nova guards. The crowds began screaming and panicking, fleeing in all directions. Adora looked at the heroes as the Supreme Intelligence's hologram faded. “I'm getting the Senate out of here! If you want to help . then help.” Before any of the heroes could respond, the Dark Revenant launched multiple interceptor craft. These were cylindrical shuttles that struck the hull of the Senatorium and started drilling through them. While a handful were shot down by the Senatorium's turrets, a few of them still managed to latch on to the exterior of the station. Once holes were pierced by their drills, Skrull and Mekkan troops began flooding inside. Steve turned back to Adora. “We'll help your people fight them off however we can. Get the Senate to safety!” Adora hurriedly nodded before rushing off after the Senate and their guards. Steve held up his shield. Tasha equipped her repulsors and locked her helmet in place. Carol charged both of her hands with energy and started to hover. Thor held his hammer at the ready. -

Fantastic Four #1 (Marvel, 1961) Marvel Silver Age Hero Comic #1. This is where it all started for Marvel as we know it today, the origin and first appearance of the Fantastic Four, Marvel's first superhero team. It's also the origin and first appearance of the villainous (though misunderstood) Mole Man. Writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby were behind this one. The first title under the publishers name Marvel Comics switching from Atlas Comics that year. This is the first official silver age Marvel Comics superhero book and would be one of the most scarcest Marvel hero books of the era as there was no hype when this book came out. #3 most valuable 1 st appearance silver age Marvel (1960-62) comic. Print run estimate: 125,000 copies. The Fantastic Four is a fictional superhero team appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The group debuted in The Fantastic Four #1 (cover dated Nov. 1961), which helped to usher in a new level of realism in the medium. The Fantastic Four was the first superhero team created by writer-editor Stan Lee and artist/co-plotter Jack Kirby, who developed a collaborative approach to creating comics with this title that they would use from then on. The four individuals traditionally associated with the Fantastic Four, who gained superpowers after exposure to cosmic rays during a scientific mission to outer space, are Mister Fantastic (Reed Richards), a scientific genius and the leader of the group, who can stretch his body into incredible lengths and shapes; the Invisible Woman (Susan "Sue" Storm), who eventually married Reed, who can render herself invisible and later project powerful force fields; the Human Torch (Johnny Storm), Sue's younger brother, who can generate flames, surround himself with them and fly; and the monstrous Thing (Ben Grimm), their grumpy but benevolent friend, a former college football star and Reed's college roommate as well as a good pilot, who possesses superhuman strength and endurance due to the nature of his stone-like flesh. -
The Silver Surfer Story/Outline
THE SILVER SURFER STORY/OUTLINE DRAFT 1 “BATTLECRY” WRITTEN BY LARRY BRODY TEASER 1. EXT. THE SOUL MASTER DIMENSION. A scene we’ve witnessed before—but a more pleasant version this time. It’s the SILVER SURFER, SHALLA BAL, and the VIRAL OVERMIND, working together to save Zenn-La and the rest of the planets in this dimension. Except that this time Shalla Bal is not left behind. Instead, she makes it through just in time, rushing into the Silver Surfer’s arms! The Surfer starts to kiss her, and now Shalla Bal vanishes, only her voice remaining, crying out that she is in a dark, frightening place, and begging for the Surfer’s help in getting her out. 2. EXT. SPACE NEAR ZENN-LA. The Surfer soars all around, searching—and awakens to discover that he is flying upward from the now safe Zenn-La…and that everything that just happened was a dream. Yet even now he hears Shalla 2 Bal calling to him, her voice fading out only after the dream has ended. 3. As the Surfer ponders this, he realizes that he is hearing another distress call through a COM BEAM. It’s the leader of a group of REFUGEES, fleeing from a planet that has just fallen to the KREE EMPIRE, and asking for a safe haven. Right behind the Refugees is a KREE FLEET, and the pursuers begin FIRING THEIR ENERGY WEAPONS, hitting not only the Refugees but the Silver Surfer as well! He’s hit again and again in rapid succession, reeling weakly to one knee, as we FADE OUT. -

Red Hulk - Marvel Universe Wiki: the Definitive Online Source for Marvel Super Hero Bios
Red Hulk - Marvel Universe Wiki: The definitive online source for Marvel super hero bios. 5/20/13 11:00 PM Red Hulk As a young man, Thaddeus Ross enlisted in the military and received his nickname from his troops because he "struck like a thunderbolt" when leading them into action. Now he has become the very thing he hated most in life. He is the Red Hulk. Military Man General Thaddeus E. Ross was born into a family with a proud tradition of military ser- vice. Both his father and his grandfather served heroically in past American wars. As a boy Thaddeus immersed himself in military history, and he learned how to fly by barn- storming at country fairs. When he came of age Ross enlisted in the military, graduating first in his class at West Point. He married Karen Lee, the daughter of his commanding officer at the time. Ross rapidly rose in rank to captain and then major while serving in his first war. Ross made a great reputation as a leader in combat, but after the war, he was stationed at the nu- clear research facility at Los Alamos, New Mexico. There he met nuclear physicist Brian Banner, the father of Robert Bruce Banner. Ross had risen to the rank of colonel by the time he was sent to his next war, during which he became a general in the U.S. Air Force (Ross never rose beyond three-star gen- eral). As he gloried in combat, he was dissatisfied with the "desk jobs" he was given be- fore and after the war. -

McDermott Introduction By the mid-1970’s, many fans of the “Golden Age” of comic books had grown up to become writers and ultimately editors for the comics publishers, sometimes setting the nar- rative histories for their favorite childhood characters themselves. Many of these fans-turned- pro produced comics series that attempted to recapture the Golden Age’s excitement, patriotic fervor and whiz-bang attitude. The most successful of these titles were produced by Roy Thomas, who fashioned a coherent history of costumed heroes during World War II, and rec- onciled the wildly inconsistent stories of the 1940’s with tightly patrolled continuity initiated with the “Silver Age” of the 1960’s. With The Invaders (1975-1979), Thomas focused on the hitherto unrevealed wartime exploits of Marvel Comics’ early mainstays Captain America, the Human Torch, and Prince Namor, the Sub-Mariner. In 1980, he moved to DC Comics and launched All-Star Squadron, which juggled the histories of the Justice Society of Amer- ica and nearly a hundred secondary characters.
