51 WASTE SITE INFORMATION June 2014 - May 2015 HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE (HHW) Seasonal opening of the Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) depot will begin on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at the Anstruther Transfer Station. The Depot will be open Wednesdays and Sundays from Wednesday June 3/15 to Sunday September 6/15 and then Wednesdays only from September 9/15 to October 7/15
WASTE ELECTRONICS DROP-OFF The Anstruther Transfer Station has a bin for Waste Electronics available all year. In addition there will be a Waste Electronics bin at the Haultain Transfer Station this summer from Victoria Day weekend to Thanksgiving weekend.
ORGANICS COLLECTION / DROP OFF The County of Peterborough and the Township of North Kawartha have installed Moloks at the Anstruther Transfer Station for the collection of organic material (ex. kitchen scraps). Residents wishing to participate in this program can receive a free bucket or pail with lockable lids. Ask an Attendant at the Anstruther Transfer Station for more info.
LEAF AND YARD WASTE Leaf and yard waste is accepted at both Transfer Stations, year-round. Tipping fees may apply.
RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION & DEMOLITION MATERIALS Accepted at the Anstruther Transfer Station from Victoria Day Weekend to Thanksgiving Weekend.
