Wolverhampton lies at the northern boundary of the Birmingham Canal Navigations, close to Junction, where James Brindley's Main Line Canal gives way to the more rural and canal. Its most famous feature is the ‘Twenty-one’ locks, a flight which lowers the water level by 132 feet and is the longest lock flight on the BCN network. The canals are the ideal place for people of all ages to enjoy leisurely walks and bike rides, and British Waterways has produced mini-guides featuring suggested routes. Leading tourist attractions such as Wolverhampton Racecourse and Wightwick Manor are located on the canalside.

This former Royal Free Chapel stands at the highest point of Wolverhampton, on a site hallowed by the prayers of Christian people for over 1200 years. Today it is a place where people come to find sanctuary, to appreciate its history and architecture and to enjoy its wonderful musical tradition. The current building is medieval but a stone column outside witnesses to its Saxon origins. A new visitor centre is now open to the public.

Bilston Craft Gallery is the largest venue in the region dedicated to the applied arts. As Wolverhampton’s premier swimming facility, Central Baths regularly stages national, regional and local galas as well as page providing swimming for the local community. Wolverhampton’s second public park was created around 1895. Many of the park’s original features have been retained; such as the clock tower, surrounded now by a paddling pool, a play area and an avenue of mature trees.

The park, with many flowerbeds, contains an open air theatre. The theatre hosts many events throughout the year and is available for public use/bookings. Small scale events now take place regularly within the park. The park went under a major restoration project in 2008.

Home to Wolverhampton Wanderers, Molineux has a fantastic atmosphere on matchdays, but there’s also plenty to do on non-match days too! Book a stadium tour and see the scenes in the House that Sir Jack built or have a meal in the renowned Sir Jacks restaurant. Molineux is also an excellent conference and banqueting venue, catering for meetings, conferences and exhibitions. Created in 1881, the City’s recently restored West Park is a fine example of a Victorian park which today boasts beautiful flower displays, a large children’s play area, a boating lake page and all-weather tennis courts. Located in scenic , with 70 aircraft on display in three wartime hangars and The National Cold War Exhibition. The area is the only designated Local Nature Reserve in Wolverhampton. It is a haven for wildlife with its meadow and page over 15 acres of woodlands. Many walks can be taken along the railway track bed and the canal towpath, with a picnic area along the way at the newly developed Tettenhall station.

Broadfield House Glass Museum is located within the glass quarter in Stourbridge. Here you will find displays of 18th Century tableware as well as modern sculptural pieces. There is also the opportunity to watch the glassblowers at work. A491 to Stourbridge and follow signs after Kingswinford.
