Railway Administration has decided to engage New Halt Contractor at SIDULI Halt in between Kajoragram & Ukhra station over Division for sale of tickets to the passengers. Applications are invited in sealed cover Super scribed “Application for halt contractor for sale of tickets at Siduli halt “ from the eligible local citizens of the area ( not for other area) for appointment as Halt contractor at the above mentioned station on commission basis subject to minimum of Rs.500/- or as per guide lines of Railway Board vide No. 99/TGIV/HaltPolicy dated 24.06.2005. In addition an incentive will also be paid on the incremental increase in ticket sale. The commission and incentive will be paid to the contractor on the base of No. of tickets sold rather than the earnings are as under:-

Number of ticket sold per day Commission per ticket 1 - 100 Rs. 1. 25 101 - 200 Rs. 1.00 201 - 500 Rs. 0.50 501 - 1000 Rs.0.25 1000 & above Rs. 0.15 1 MST Rs. 10.00 In addition to the commission paid as above an incentive @ 25 paisa per ticket on incremental basis in the ticket sale with respect of the performance in the corresponding quarter of the previous year will be paid to the halt contractor

The application should be dropped in the Box kept in the office of Sr. Divisional Commercial Manager, Eastern Railway, Asansol (Commercial Section) ,DRM Office, Eastern Railway Asansol during office hours from 03.08.2015 to 21.08.2015 up to 17.00 hrs.( except Saturday, Sunday & Holidays). Application received after aforesaid date will not be entertained.

Date and time of opening of the Sealed Box on 24.08.2015 at 12.00 hrs. in the chamber of DCM/ASN. In case the date of opening of Box is declared as holiday /closed day or any unforeseen reason , sealed box will be opened on next working day of the same time. Applicants are requested to present during opening of sealed box.

Application forms can be downloaded from the Railway Website – www.er.indianrailways.gov.in on & from 23.07.2015. For any enquiry, please contact Senior Divisional Commercial Manager’s Office , DRM office, Eastern Railway, Asansol on any working day in between 11.00 hrs. to 17.00 hrs.

The person to whom the contract would be awarded will have to deposit Security money of Rs. 2000/- (or more as Railway Administration will decide) in the Divisional Cashier/ Eastern Railway, Asansol.

The applicants should satisfy the followings eligibility criteria:-

1. The contractor should be at least 10 th Standard pass having knowledge of English so as to read the name of the station and the value of tickets.

2. The halt contractor should be permanent resident of the place where the halt is Opened.

3. The age of the halt contractor should not be below 21 years of age and not above 55 years of age at the time of appointment.

4. The halt contractor should produce a Medical certificate in support of his physical fitness and that he is free from any communicable disease.

5. The Halt Contractor should produce a Character Certificate issued by DM/ADM/SDM/BDO/CO/Tehsildar that he/she bears good moral character. . 6. The Halt Contractor should produce the clearance certificate from the local Police Station that no criminal case is pending against him/her.

7. All documents attached with the application (except Character Certificate & Local Police clearance) shall be self attested.

8. The appointment of halt contractor is purely contractual in nature and no facilities ,viz. absorption in Railway Service, regularization of service, bonus, Railway Pass, Medical facilities etc. shall accrue to the halt contractor. . . 9. The Selection of the Halt contractor will be done by the lottery, if more than one Candidate is found eligible.

10. The antecedents of the applicants shall be verified before their appointment as Halt Contractors.

The Administration reserves the right to disqualify any or all person and reject any or all applications without showing any reason..
