Special Treatments Premises Licensing LIST OF BODIES OF HEALTH PRACTITIONERS GRANTED EXEMPTION
Under Section 4(c) of the London Local Authorities Act 1991, anyone who is registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council does not require a special treatments premises licence. This includes Physiotherapists and Chiropodists. In addition, Chiropractors and Osteopaths are specifically exempted under the Act.
In accordance with the recommendations of The London Special Treatments Group, the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham also grant exemption to members of the following bodies from the requirement to obtain a special treatments premises licence before offering treatments as identified.
