What is Community Planning? What is Community Planning? The Executive – Implements and coordinates community planning across Aberdeenshire. The Central Community Planning Team – Supports the Board and Executive, acts as a central point of contact for Community Planning and coordinates the development of the Partnership’s Aberdeenshire-wide plan of priorities (known as the Local Outcomes Improvement Plan). Local Community Planning Groups – work collaboratively to lead on and progress community planning in their area. A Community Planning Officer is based in each of the six areas to support the local community planning group and improve community engagement in their area.

The Local Outcomes Improvement Plan (LOIP), Local Community Plans and Locality Plans The Local Outcomes Improvement Plan is a plan that shows where the partnership will focus action over the next 10 years to address stubborn and complex issues in Aberdeenshire. These issues require the collective effort of partners to make a real difference for our communities, with a particular emphasis on addressing inequalities. At a more local level, the Local Community Plans feed into the priorities in the LO I P but are tailored to specific areas – Banff & , Buchan, , , Kincardine & Mearns and . These plans demonstrate local priorities along with actions and partner commitment. They are based on evidence and community engagement. More specific Locality Plans will also be developed, but only in a small number of towns/areas where an extra focus on making improvement is required. Annual reports on all of these plans will be available each year to chart progress and inform communities.
