FY 2020-24 Adopted Capital Budget Book.Indb THE MIAMI BEACH VISION The Miami Beach Strategic Plan Through the Lens of Resilience was inspired by the four resilience dimensions created by the Rockefeller Foundation which led the planning of Resilient305. Rather than delivering services in the same way governments have in the past and putting energy and funding from one emergency to another, the City must be planning for a resilient future. The purpose of strategic planning is to defi ne the City’s goals and to work together in achieving them. The true spirit of resilience planning comes with goals of reducing risk as well as creating co-benefi ts that improve resident and visitor quality of life. Through this, this City will become ready to not only bounce back in the face of shocks and stresses to survive, but to bounce forward and to actually thrive.
