Ricardo Trogi a réalisé ensuite la série télévisée Smash, écrite et interprétée par l’humoriste Daniel Lemire, qui a obtenu huit nominations au concours des Gémeaux en 2004, dont celle de la meilleure réalisation-comédie. Elle a récolté quatre nominations pour sa deuxième saison. En 2005, il a réalisé Horloge biologique, qu’il a coscénarisé avec Jean-Philippe Pearson et Patrice Robitaille. Ce film a connu un franc succès et a généré 4,4 millions$ aux guichets québécois. Il a participé à de nombreux festivals et a remporté l’Olivier 2006 de la meilleure comédie.
