She was brought back to finish her schooling, but appeared in summer theatre, many college productions and became skilled in all theatre crafts while earning her B.A. and M.A. degrees at Mills. During this period she even taught. (Her master's thesis was titled: "Abnormal Oedipus manifestations in Aeschylus—as compared to Von Hofmannsthal—as compared to Eugene O'Neill.") Fresh out of college, Miss DeCamp started on One Man's Family. She followed up with experience ranging from exclusive hotels to one night stands on a vaudeville circuit. She appeared on Bob Hope's first radio show, made Broadway as an extra and then hit the movies in Cheers For Miss Bishop. She won the Critics Award for her performance and has since been seen in 40 films. Today she is well known as the charming, clever sister Margaret on , NBC-TV. In addition she makes guest appearances and does the regular commercial announcement on the Sunday night series. A TV pioneer, Rosemary was cast in a series Life Of Riley with an unknown nightclub entertainer, . The show picked up the first Emmy for filmed half hour shows, but the sponsor cancelled. In her vastly diversified career Miss DeCamp has appeared with Jean Hersholt, Martha Scott, Jimmy Cagney, Walter Huston, etc., in memorable productions such as , From This Day Forward, Life of Riley, Rhapsody in Blue, etc. Her husband is a Los Angeles County Municipal Court Judge, serving on the bench since his return from the second World War. In spite of a hectic, rushed life, she has four beautiful, calm and charming daughters.
