This series of operas in condensed version with narrator, based on the works to be produced by the Metropolitan Opera Company in its 1963 Detroit season, will be per­ formed by members of two distinguished Detroit opera companies, the Celeste Cole Opera Workshop, Celeste Cole, Director, and the Michigan Opera Company, John Sweeney, Director, with other non-affiliated singers.

Following each opera, an informal panel discussion will be moderated by Dr. Roy T. Will, Chairman, Depart­ ment of Music, . Dr. Will is also the Producer-Director of the Overture to Opera II series. Assistant Producer: E. R. Beeker, Manager, Celeste Cole Opera Workshop.
