TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 1, 2020 OFFICIALS ANNOUNCE KENTUCKY DERBY Q & A WITH B. WAYNE HUGHES by Bill Finley HORSE RACING INTEGRITY It could be quite a Derby week for Spendthrift Farm and its owner B. He will be represented by >TDN Rising Star= Authentic in the Derby and by the freakishly fast >Rising Star= Gamine in the GI Kentucky Oaks. Toyota Blue Grass Stakes® (G2) Sponsored by Toyota 94th Running • Spring • 1 1/8 miles • 3-year-olds The Blue Grass Stakes was named for the Bluegrass region of Kentucky, which is characterized by grass having bluish-green culms and is known as the heart of the Thoroughbred breeding industry.
