Lakshmi , the divine consort of Lord , is one of the unlimited forms of the Divine . She is the Goddess of fortune, auspiciousness, nourishment, love, beauty, and prosperity. Mother Lakshmi blesses our health, family and finances, but to the spiritual aspirant She is manifests as - (the power that sustain our spiritual practices). We pray to Her to bless us with the pure and noble qualities necessary for spiritual realization. Mother Lakshmi, shines in the blooming lotus of the heart as purity, spiritual aspiration and devotion to God.

Gayatri for Goddess Lakshmi

Gayatri refers to a specific divine meter (24 syllables to the verse). This Lakshmi , found in the Devi Atharvashiras, is chanted to invoke the Divine Mother, praying for spiritual illumination.

Sri Lakshmi

May we realize Maha-Lakshmi. May we meditate on the Shakti of all. May that Goddess illuminate us. To You, Lakshmi, Universal Mother of all beings—we bow. Grant us offspring. Grant us prosperity. Protect us Meditation on Goddess Lakshmi always. We bow to You.

The recitation of the names and qualities of Lakshmi Devi are a powerful way to invoke Her blessings and presence into This eight verse hymn to the Great Lakshmi, if chanted our homes and lives.
