Danish referee for FC Bayern München v CA

Kim Milton Nielsen proposed by UEFA and approved by CONMEBOL for the final

Kim Milton Nielsen will referee the 40th edition of the European / South American Cup, to be played between FC Bayern München and CA Boca Juniors, in on Tuesday 27th November 2001 at 19.13 (local time / 11.13 CET).

The formula for the appoinment of the 41-year-old Dane was that UEFA presented a short-list of five referees to the Referees’ Committee of CONMEBOL, the South American Football Confederation, who singled out Kim Milton Nielsen.

UEFA’s Referees’ Committee has appointed Jørgen Jepsen from Denmark and Mikael Nilsson from Sweden as assistant referees. The Football Association will nominate the 4th Official.

The FIFA Referees Committee has announced the referees for the eight European play-off matches for the Final Round of the 2002 World Cup in Korea and Japan:
