SPECIAL GUESTS REBECCA BROMELS Rebecca Bromels is the Assistant Professor of Arts Administration at the College-Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati, where she teaches the next generation of arts leaders in the MA/ MBA dual degree program. Prior to teaching, Rebecca spent 17 years in the non-profit arts. As Managing Director of Cincinnati Shakespeare Company for eight years, she had direct responsibility for major gi&s, Board development, marketing and public relations, human resources, and budgeting. In 2011, she joined ArtsWave, Cincinnati’s regional arts fund and the first and largest united arts fund in the country. As Senior Director of Communications and Engagement, she oversaw the development of new messaging as the 87 year-old organization transitioned to a new name, brand, mission, and grantmaking process. She also provides strategic planning and Board development consultation to small non-profit arts organizations. Rebecca holds a BFA in Theatre Performance from Texas Christian University and is pursuing her MBA at University of Cincinnati. She was just dubbed a knight by the order of The Knights of Madoc, in honor of her work in the art of stage combat and in recognition of her fine character and enduring good will. ANNALISA DIAS Annalisa Dias is a citizen artist, theatre maker, and community organizer. She is a Producing Playwright and Acting Creative Producer with The Welders, a DC playwright’s collective; and is Co-Founder of the DC Coalition for Theatre & Social Justice. Annalisa frequently teaches theatre of the oppressed workshops nationally and internationally and speaks about race, identity, and performance. She is a TCG Rising Leader of Color and also works in diversity and inclusion full time at the American Political Science Association. Upcoming original work includes 4380 NIGHTS, a world premiere new play about detainees at Guantanamo and the historical legacy of global colonialism, opening in January 2018 at DC’s Signature Theatre as part of the 2nd Women’s Voices Theatre Festival.
