Among the most important things I learnt while I was in Aspire Academy was organizing my time and using it in the most effective way to balance the academic and athletic aspects. Further, I improved my nutrition, maintained a healthy lifestyle and met people from all over the globe. Among my most notable achievements were mastering the English language and improving my computer skills. My ambitions after graduating are limitless. On the one hand, I intend to be a professional athlete, and on the other hand I would like to enroll in the College of Medicine to become a specialized physiotherapist. After I joined Aspire, I was able to appreciate the values of time keeping, discipline and leading an organized life around your numerous activities. I learnt amongst other things the importance of self-reliance and hard work. During my presence at Aspire, I was fortunate enough to attain some important achievements, perhaps the highest being getting the first place in the discus throw at the Asian Athletics Championship. I achieved eight rank in the world and third in the Gulf. I aspire to be a professional athlete and enroll in the military corps. Ahmad showed good potential when he entered the program and grew into a hardworking and determined athlete. Aspire has had a huge impact in my life and l learnt many valuable lessons including the value of time keeping and how to balance sports and studies. I had opportunity to learn about several cultures and I understood the meaning of accepting others. During my time at Aspire, I mastered the English language and learnt French. I intend to enroll at the university to study physical education as well as pursue my sporting career. Coaches’ Note

Bassem is a very talented athlete, who works very hard and has had some great results since he joined Aspire. In 2018, he won silver in the IAAF U-20 Athletics Championships held in Finland. He has performed remarkably well winning medals at GCC, Arab and Asian Junior Championships at 400m hurdles and 400m. He won a bronze medal in the 4 x 400m relay at the 23rd Asian Athletics Championships held in April 2019 in Qatar. He is a very focused young man whose future in the sport of athletics looks very bright.

At Aspire, I learned the importance of time, how conduct my prayers timely and striking right balance between sports and studies. I qualified for the IAAF World U-20 Championships in Finland and won the Arab Championship in 200m. I aspire to participate in the 2020 IAAF World U-20 Athletics Championships in Kenya and pursue my studies at the Aeronautical College. Aspire has taught me to be a leader and to strike the right balance between sports and studies. I have been able to develop my personal leadership skills and improved on my time keeping remarkably well. I have achieved many sporting achievements, most importantly my ranking in the top 250 world athletes in shot put in youth category after I broke the Qatar record. I was named the best U-15 Athlete of the season and picked up an award for that. I MARZOUQ aspire to continue with my sporting career and join the army. My advice to my colleagues in Aspire is to cooperate with coaches and teachers and to continue to give of your best. Balancing my time between the sports and school was definitely something I learnt at Aspire. It taught me discipline and to be serious about what I was doing and that helped me to make it to the Qatar Athletics National Team and to join Al-Arabi Club. Those were important steps for me and brought me closer to my goal to reach the world level and win a gold medal. In addition to my career in sports, I want to join the Military College. After joining Aspire, my self-confidence increased. I learnt discipline and time commitment. I also learnt how to balance academic studies and sports exercising. I also got acquainted with new languages such as French and Spanish, and I mastered Arabic and English. In sports, I came third in the Gulf Championship in Qatar in 2019 and attained sixth place in Asia Championships in 2016 in Vietnam. I aspire to join Georgetown Political Science University for my studies and hope to be an ambassador in the future. Joining the Aspire Academy was definitely a huge adventure. Every day I spent at the academy, I learnt something new. Being part of this Academy is a privilege for every student- athlete and I am proud that I could represent Aspire in many camps and championships in many countries such as South Africa, France, Portugal and Japan. After graduating, I want to continue my education at university level to further develop my academic abilities. Aspire taught me to take responsibility and to be disciplined, respect time and be more self-confident. It was the warm home that embraced all our dreams. During my time at Aspire, I gained new skills including learning new languages like Spanish. At the sporting level, I took part in many tournaments and won many medals locally and internationally, the most important of them were the gold and silver medals in the Arab and Gulf Championships in 2017. My ambition is to pursue my career in sports and raise the name of my beloved country, Qatar as well ALI as complete my university studies and join the military. During the time I spent at Aspire Academy, I learnt the meaning of commitment, time keeping and balancing sport and studies. I became better at organizing my time and be self-disciplined as well as how to show respect to everyone and take responsibility. Among my most important sporting achievements was coming first place in the Arab Fencing Championship in 2016 in Jordan. I would like to join the Military College after graduating from the Academy and pursue my university studies. I aim to be one of the intellectuals and most hardworking people to graduate from Aspire. I advise everyone studying at Aspire MOHAMMED to seize the chance of being at Aspire, an institution that breeds champions cherished by our beloved country, Qatar. Aspire has impacted my life and taught me the value of time and how to balance sports and studies. It has introduced me to several cultures and I understood the meaning of accepting others. During my time at Aspire, I mastered the English language and learnt Spanish. Aspire has influenced my life and taught me so many things like responsibility, time keeping, sense of commitment, discipline and respect for all. It has provided its student- athletes a second home and enabled us to develop in education and sporting careers. During my time at Aspire, I participated in many training camps and four championships both inside and outside of our beloved Qatar. After completing high school studies, I aspire to enroll at Ahmed Military College and I will work hard to strike the right balance between work and university studies. Aspire has taught me a lot of things and has impacted my personal life. It has taught me patience, order and how to perform tasks on time. During my time at Aspire, I realized a lot of achievements in sports, the most important of which was winning gold and silver medals in more than one tournament. My next step is to join the army and dedicate myself full-time to football as l seek to become a professional player. When I joined Aspire, it first seemed challenging to me, as I was not used to such an environment. But I quickly felt comfortable and sensed the family-like atmosphere among my colleagues and managed to overcome the difficulties. I am proud to be able to look back atsome sporting achievements, especially in the League and at the Alkass tournaments in 2017 and 2018. After graduating, I am planning on joining the Military College to be able FAISAL to serve my beloved country in the future. Coaches’ Note

We are very happy with Faisal’s development. He really showed that he can be a fighter – especially when he worked his way back after a serious injury, that forced him on the sidelines for 6 months. He grew a lot during his time at the Academy, he started taking responsibility on the pitch, he developed a good feeling for managing time and space on the pitch, which is quite as asset for holding midfielder like himself. He proved his skills at the 2019 Al Kass International Cup and he has all the skills to make it in the first team at his club Al Sadd.

Aspire has taught me a lot of good things that have helped me in organizing my life and my day as l became more self- disciplined and conscious of my responsibilities. I aspire to pursue my studies at Qatar University and be a professional footballer with Al Sadd Club. What sticks to the mind is that every time Ibrahim made a mistake on the pitch, he immediately corrected it, which tells a lot about his competitive spirit. For a right back he was quite athletic, a gifted footballer, who improved a lot over time. Aspire had a huge impact on my life. It taught me to respect the others and balance studying and doing sports. I learnt a lot about time management and do my prayers on time. One of the most important achievements I made during my time at Aspire was joining the Qatar U-20 National Football Team. I improved my English language skills significantly and acquired the skills to speaking in front of the public. After graduating from the Academy, I intend to continue my sporting career and become a professional as well as join a university to study business administration. Jassem is one of the players we are extraordinary happy with, because he developed into a mature player, who can play multiple positions in midfield. Aspire made me a different person. Thanks to my time here, my self-confidence increased a lot and I am able to fully rely on myself. I also became more disciplined and I learnt to arrange my time effectively. I managed to balance education and sports and overcome fatigue and hardship. It is my ambition to become an international football player and further develop my individual skills to be able to represent Qatar well. Mohamed is a true leader on and off the pitch. Naif is a real success story. He used to play as a center-back, but due to his talent for organizing the game and his technical skills we decided to put him into offensive midfield and he immediately showed that this was the right decision. Since joining Aspire, my self-confidence has increased a lot and the time I spent here was very precious to me. I started to understand the meaning of preserving time and balancing studies and sports, which was positively reflected on my grades in school. Also, my conversation, writing and listening skills evolved as well my level of the English language. It is my overall goal to be part of the Qatar National Football Team in the 2022 World Cup to raise Qatar’s flag high. In addition to a career in football, SALEM I am also planning to enroll at the Aeronautical College to realize my second childhood dream. At Aspire, I learnt about self-reliance balancing education and sports and I grew as a person. Aspire taught me a lot of things that affected my personal life, such as patience, order and time management. In terms of my athletic development, I made great experiences including a trip to Belgium where I had the opportunity of refereeing football games. I was also chosen as the youngest Qatari referee to run a match in the Qatari league. My future plan is to study in Great Britain and eventually to become a full-time referee. After joining Aspire Academy, I learnt about the importance of taking responsibility and making decisions, especially after participating in the Leadership Development Program and volunteering for initiatives, such as the organization of the Model United Nations Conference. There are some achievements I am particularly proud of, such as winning the gold medal at the Gulf Championship and the silver medal at the Arab championship. My ambition is to get to the stage of professional sports and continue my education at the College of Engineering at Leeds University for ABDULRAHMAN Sustainable Energy. My advice to my colleagues is to take advantage of what the academy provides to become a sports champion, because this is a unique opportunity. After I joined the Academy, my life definitely changed. I learnt to balance between studies and sport, I gained self- reliance and learnt about leadership, discipline and the value of teamwork. In the school, my participation in the Leadership Development Program was an opportunity I cherished a lot. In sports, I won the bronze medal at the Arab Juniors Championship and the bronze medal at the Gulf Championship for individual teams. Aspire is my second home from which I learnt a lot and acquired knowledge as well as build my athletic skills. It made me more aware of my responsibilities. Among my achievements l made academically, I learnt French and mastered the English language. In sport l won the first place in the Gulf Championship and third place at the Arab golf tournament. My ambition is to continue my sporting career and further my studies. I also want to work hard enough to join the Military College. During my time in this great academy, I learnt about discipline, respecting others and the value of time. Among the most important achievements I made was the ninth place at the World Youth Championships, as well as two silver and three bronze medals at the Arab championship. After graduating I want to carry on with my sporting career and become a professional athlete, and at the same time enroll at university. I advise my fellow students to take advantage of this golden opportunity, because being here is a unique privilege. I thank all the teachers and coaches, ABDULLA and I thank my father who was keen to support me on this path. A special thanks to my mother. Unfortunately, she passed away before I graduated, but she had always supported me and gave me advice I am still benefiting AL-HARITH from until today. Allah have mercy on her.

Aspire taught me all good values, especially respecting teachers and being kind to young ones and to deal politely with the elders. It helped to become an outgoing personality. I learnt from the teachers’ life experiences and their tips will help me in my daily life. On the athletic side, I can look to many great moments, especially in 2015, when I won two gold medals, two silver and a bronze at the Arab Gymnastics Championships. Aspire Academy made me understand the meaning of discipline, I learnt to overcome obstacles and strike the right balance between studies and sports. I have benefited a lot since I joined Aspire, especially when it comes to improving my English language skills. I took part in many championships, including the Arab Championship, the World Championships and the Asian Championship and I was able to win three gold medals and five silver medals. Raslen is a very smart athlete who has made tremendous progress in gymnastics. He made his debut at the 12th FIG Artistic Individual Apparatus World Cup 2019 and acquitted himself very well. During his time at shooting, Abdulaziz showed a keenness and determination to learn and improve his skills. In short time he became a leader of the Junior Rifle National Team and participated in the 6th International Sports Games “Children of Asia” in Yakutsk, Russia, where he finished 8th in the Air Rifle event. He worked to his capabilities both at training and in competitions and while he might have found the sport more challenging than he had initially thought, it was pleasing to see his willingness to try his level best. What I learnt during my time at Aspire are skills that are going to benefit me a lot in the future. Definitely, I started to understand the value of time, which was essential to be able to organize my life thoughtfully. I mastered public speaking and now I am able to speak in front of a huge crowd without getting nervous. On the athletic side, I made many great memories including my outstanding performances at tournaments in Hungary and Portugal. Besides continuing my professional career in my sport, I intend to enroll at the Aeronautical College, which has been one of my childhood dreams. I advise Aspire students RASHID to be committed to sports training and attending school to achieve their ambitious goals. Coaches’ Note

As a shy grade 7 student Rashid developed into one of the program’s strongest players during his first 4 years at Aspire. During this time Rashid helped the Qatar Under 15 team to victory at GCC level for the first time and had many good performances internationally in European and Asian junior competitions. His biggest improvements and best performances always came about following periods of consistent training and purposeful application. These are also the qualities that are required to bring him success off court as he moves into the next chapter of his life.

Rashid’s ambitions are sky high, which is no wonder since one of his big goals is to become a pilot. He is a very good student and much appreciated by his classmates and teachers. The time at Aspire Academy influenced me in many ways, it taught me a lot about discipline, time management, responsibility and many things from which I have benefited in my life already.
