Some are significant, others less so but they still make a positive contribution. These changes are all a result of decisions made by your Parish Councillors. I am fortunate to work with dedicated people whose aim is to give something back to the community in which they live and to preserve and enhance East Horsley’s semi-rural environment. I have written before about the budgetary restrictions Surrey and Guildford are working under and the need for the Parish Council to fill that void. If we don’t then standards will slip. Your Councillors understand this and are planning for the future. The East Horsley Neighbourhood Plan, if adopted, will form the blueprint for the future of the village. There is currently a vacancy for a Councillor to join the team. If you feel you could contribute to your community and would like to find out more please contact me. Alternatively contact one of the existing Councillors and find out what they enjoy about being a Councillor. Their contact details are at the back of this newsletter.
