AT the time when the first edition of this Catalogue was pub lished 1 826 was e e a the ess had , in , it consid r d th t progr which e e ma e e e m the ua es and s ms and th n be n d in d t r ining q liti ynony , se the me a u e of u s was su as us f in ttling no ncl t r Fr it , not ch to j ti y the Society in attempting more than a mere list of their names . The subsequent experience of five years has so considerably dim s e the ffi u es e e e su se e s ini h d di c lti which w r th n ppo d to xi t, that the Council have at length found themselves authorized in ordering the preparation of that which is now laid before the public .
