The ‘Christmas & New Year celebrations’ were conducted at the college auditorium. The main programmes of the celebration include. (a) Christmas Message (b) New Year Oath taking ceremony (c) Candle lighting to welcome 2017. (d) Reading holy books of all religions etc.

School visit for five days, as preparatory phase to student teachers, in schools.

26.01.2016

‘Republic day celebrations’ were done with true spirit of Indian citizenship. The flag was hoisted by the Principal, KUCTE, Adoor Solo & group performances of student teachers were taken place.

01.02.2016

We visited the Geriatric Care centre and Charitable organization – ‘Mahatma Janasevana Kendram’ near by the college. We provided stationary items, lunch, clothes and money for them, as part of our socially useful productive work.

The ‘English’ optional subject association programmes were conducted. The students presented seminars and published the ‘Logo- MENTOR’. 05.02.2016

‘Kaithari Mela’ was conducted for promoting ‘Khadi’ by Khadi board, Adoor at our campus Exhibition and sale of Khadi items , Khadi dress wearing competitions and quiz competitions were conducted as part of the mela.

A five day college study tour to Wayanad, Kurgu & Bangalore was successfully conducted

The ‘Science Day’ was celebrated at the college auditorium. The Sasthra Sahithya Parishath teams conducted many programmes for student teachers, which includes Sasthra Kalajatha and “Mannum Manassum’ – a short drama.

The ‘Social Science’ Association programme was taken place at college, named ‘Samskriti’. The event was rich in heritage exhibition of olden and novel age utensils. ‘Charka, Palathoppi, Visari, Palaka, Thadukka, Murukkan Chellam, very old coins, Ranthal, Kudam, Ottuvilakku were exhibited along with the replaced things in this new era.

The students teachers participated in a Film show ‘ Akasangalkkumappuram’ at Marthoma Youth Movement Centre, Adoor which has really provided intimation and information scientific values and entertainment to them. 29.02.2016 to 04.03.2016

Women’s, day celebrations were taken place. Seminars by scholars and entertainment programmes were conducted with a view to empower, educate and enrich women in society. 11.03.2016

The ‘Sports Meet 2016’ of the college was conducted very successfully and elaborately at campus 19.04.2016 & 20.04.2016

The Arts day programs were conducted in systematic and complete manner with more than 40 competitive items, in house wise competitive groups.

The college reopened for 3rd semester after 2nd semester exams. 17.06.2016

The ‘World Environmental Day’ was celebrated. Seminar and Poster presentations were done on the day.

The ‘International Yoga Day’ was celebrated in full viguor. Yoga experts conducted yoga classes for the student teachers in morning session.

40 days practice teaching at 9 schools.

The classes for 1st year (1st sem student teachers started with 43 girl students and 7 boy students in five optional subjects.

22.07.2016 The Union Election conducted for the post of Chairman, Vice- chairman, General Scretary, Magazine Editor, Arts Club Secretary & Class representatives. 25.07.2016

The Oath taking Ceremony of the new elected members had taken place.

The 1st official meeting of union was conducted.

The ‘Social Science’ optional students conducted Association Activities such as Seminars and Debates.

The Union Inauguration programme was a grant event for the college. Illuminent personalities like our Honourable M.L.A Sri. Chittayam Gopakumar inaugurated the function. The Arts Club and Sports club were inaugurated by Smt. Shailaja. J (Drama Performer) & Adoor C I, Sri Biju respectively. The Women Cell was inaugurated by Smt. Kalamandalam Rekha Ramachandran. In the afternoon session cultural programmes were conducted elegantly.

05.09.2016 The ‘Teachers day’ was celebrated at the college auditorium. Our former Principal S.N. Sukumaran was the chief guest of the programme. 06.09.2016 The Field Trip of English, Mathematics and Natural Science were conducted to Thenmala, Chenthurini and Kallada Dam.

The Social Science optional students also visited places such as ‘ Krishnapuram Palace, , R. Shankar Smarakam, Kayamkulam, Rice Research Station, Kayamkulam. The Malayalam optional students conducted field trip to Thakazi smarakam, , Kunchan Nambiar Smarakam , Alappuzha, Coir Factory, Alappuzha, Karumadikuttan, Karumdi, Alappuzha & Krishnapuram Palace, Kayamkulam.

All field trips were highly informative, entertaining and an asset for the career of student teachers.

05.09.2016 The “ 2016 ‘celebration was done with rich cultural programmes such as Pookkalam competition, Onapattukal, Kaikotikali and the traditional Onasadya.

03.10.2016 to 07.10.2016 We conducted a campfive day Residential community living camp as part of curriculum named “Chimizhu” on 3rd to 7th October 2016 , on which we conducted variety entertainment and edutainment programmes :-Police Traffic Awareness Drama, Awareness seminar on lifestyle diseases, Legal awareness class, Women empowerment programmes, Mok parliament, Social survey, Visit to old age home, Seminar on role of teacher in development of society, Yoga classes etc

16.11.2016 November 16th 2016 – December 9th 2016 – Practice teaching on 3rd semester for 2015 – 17 batch.

14.12.2016 – 22.12.2016 University Examinations for both 2015 – ’17 and 2016 – 2018 batch.
