Ref: IT/KGB/TENDER/3/98/2018 Date: 16-03-2018 TENDER FOR AMC OF COMPUTER HARDWARE ITEMS We invite sealed tenders on item rate basis from interested vendors for Annual Maintenance Contract of Computer Hardware Items installed at various branches/offices of our Bank in Trivandrum, Kollam, Pathanmthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Eranakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Wayanadu districts and part of Kozhikode district. List of branches and Hardware items are mentioned in Annexure D. The number of hardware items may be increased or decreased at the time of contract or even during the period of AMC which may be included or excluded from the list and the location of the equipments may also be changed. The AMC vendor shall include these items under the AMC on being informed by the Bank. Eligibility of vendor for Tender: The Vendor must have at least TWO direct offices in the mentioned geographical area (one office anywhere in TVM, KTM or EKM districts and another one anywhere in TSR, MPM or KZD districts) for fast and effective service support. Address proof of service support office or branch office should be produced such as PAN, Tax receipt, Certificate of registration like Shop & Establishment, Service Tax/Sales Tax/VAT/LBT/etc. The vendor must inform the full address and name of the office-in-charge. The vendor must have at least two qualified Service support engineers at each office above. The vendor must have an average annual turnover of Rs. 10 crore (As per last three years’ Audited Annual Financial Statement/Income tax returns - to be enclosed). -

For assessing the flood damage due and comprises of Idukki Arch Dam, Kulamavu Dam and to dam breach it is necessary to predict not only the Cheruthoni dam. The rapid infrastructure development and urbanisation leads to the mismatch in the demand and supply. The scarcity of resources leads to the illegal activity and degradation of the environment. This paper addresses the issues relating to sand mining in the BharathapuzhaRiver in Kerala India, its economic analysis and its consequences. Finally attempts to bring the attention of the international community for sustainable growth. Index terms: Sand mining, economic analysis, sustainable growth Introduction The Bharathapuzhariver in the Indian state known to be the Nila of Kerala. The Bharathapuzha River covers 155 KM in Kerala. The details course of the river has been shown in the figure no. 1. During of its course it covers the areas like South Chittur, kannadi Bridge, kalpathiPuzha, Mankara, Cheerakuzhi, Pattambi, thrithala, ThuthaPuzha, Kuttipuram and Ponnani sea level etc. In its upper course River carries large size rocks at high velocity due to higher steep. However, this inclination decreases from Pattambi to Kuttipuram Region where sand is deposited by the river. Sand mining is primarily carried out in this region. The river has over dammed in its course, mainly its water used for the irrigation purpose. The rapid globalisation and development leads to the scarcity of the natural resources like sand. As sand are the primary integrands for the construction projects. -

Athirapally Hydel Electric Project drishtiias.com/printpdf/athirapally-hydel-electric-project Why in News Recently, the Kerala government has approved the proposed Athirapally Hydro Electric Project (AHEP) on the Chalakudy river in Thrissur district of the state. There are already five dams for power and one for irrigation and it will be the seventh along the 145 km course of the Chalakudy river. Chalakudy River It originates in the Anamalai region of Tamil Nadu and is joined by its major tributaries Parambikulam, Kuriyarkutti, Sholayar, Karapara and Anakayam in Kerala. The river flows through Palakkad, Thrissur and Ernakulam districts of Kerala. It is the 4th longest river in Kerala and one of very few rivers of Kerala, which is having relics of riparian vegetation in substantial level. A riparian zone is the interface between land and a river or stream. Plant habitats and communities along the river margins and banks are called riparian vegetation, characterized by hydrophilic plants. It is the richest river in fish diversity perhaps in India as it contains 85 species of freshwater fishes out of the 152 species known from Kerala only. The famous waterfalls, Athirappilly Falls and Vazhachal Falls, are situated on this river. It merges with the Periyar River near Puthenvelikkara in Ernakulam district. Key Points 1/3 The total installed capacity of AHEP is 163 MW and the project is supposed to make use of the tail end water coming out of the existing Poringalkuthu Hydro Electric Project that is constructed across the Chalakudy river. AHEP envisages diverting water from the Poringalkuthu project as well as from its own catchment of 26 sq km. -

Water are comprises of coastal water bodies and fresh water bodies (lakes, river and groundwater). Since the past few decades, the increasing of anthropogenic activities especially in industrial area has effects to water bodies. This is the global issues which happening throughout the world and Kerala also face these problems. This study attempts to show the spatial distribution of sediment chemical parameters in the Ashtamudi Lake, Kollam and study the change during several past years. It also shows the partitioning of heavy metals in lake water. The Ashtamudi Lake is the second largest wetland ecosystem in Kerala. The lake is polluted by nearby factories, oil mills, boats, septic wastes etc. Sediment play an important role in elemental cycling in the aquatic environment and can be a sensitive indicator for monitoring contaminants in aquatic environment. GIS and remote sensing techniques can be used to make effective maps showing the effective spatial distribution of each parameters. Also sediment samples from various sample locations of Ashtamudi Lake will be collected and testing will be done accordingly.
