Harvard Peter Brand 165 Penn St. 159 Rice Note: In 1990, team scoring was based on standings in weapon team events. In 1991, the scoring system was expanded to allow fencers not qualifying as part of a team to con- tribute points to team standings through their individual performances. As a result, point values for weapon team standings increased. In 1995, weapon team events were eliminat- ed and team scoring was based on performance in the individual events, and women's épeé was added as fifth weapon. Starting in 1998, team scoring was based on a one-point system. In 2000, women’s sabre was added as sixth weapon.
