Year 6/7 Training Schedule The following students competed for City South SAPSASA team in the Metro Swimming Winter Carnival at the State Aquatic Centre on Thursday 26 March. There were 40 swimmers in the squad and City South came 12th overall: Australian Rules Football Fletcher Luscombe Ruben Gear Oliver Martin Jed Ffrench Year 6/7 (David Maglieri, Ben Dray and Lucas Billich Bailey Giles Ryan Kelton Owen Gladdy Jody Keller) Well done to the participants and congratulations to the medal winners. Thursdays after school Fletcher Luscombe, 13 year Boys Breaststroke – 3rd; Fletcher Luscombe, 13 year Boys Year 8 (Troy Rowland) Backstroke – 3rd. Tuesdays after school Year 9 (Chris Ottens) Year 8/9 Wednesdays after school Each Wednesday afternoon for this term, the 8/9 swimmers have combined with swimmers Soccer from the Senior School to compete in the Sport Association for Adelaide Schools (SAAS) Year 6/7 (Joe Millemaci) Swimming Competition. Sacred Heart had a very successful campaign and for the Thursdays after school second year in a row, we qualified for the (SAAS) Swimming Final. Given the depth of the Year 8/9 (Alex Mechis) competition, this is a huge achievement in itself for Sacred Heart. Tuesdays after school This final took place on Wednesday 25 March 2015 at St Peter’s College against seven other Basketball schools from across Adelaide. There were a number of setbacks in the lead up to this event Year 6/7 (Deborah Skewes and Kate which meant the team was greatly depleted; including injuries, illness and Year 8 camp.
