The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (also known as The Conjuring 3) is a 2021 American supernatural horror film directed by Michael Chaves, with a screenplay by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick from a story by Johnson-McGoldrick and James Wan. The film serves as a sequel to The Conjuring (2013) and The Conjuring 2 (2016), and as the eighth installment in the Conjuring Universe. Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga reprise their roles as paranormal investigators and authors Ed and Lorraine Warren, with Ruairi O'Connor, Sarah Catherine Hook, and Julian Hilliard also starring. Wan and Peter Safran return to produce the film, which is based on the trial of Arne Cheyenne Johnson, a murder trial that took place in 1981 Connecticut. Initial development for a third Conjuring film began in 2016, though Wan stated that he would not be directing another film in the series due to scheduling conflicts with other projects. Safran confirmed that the next film would not be a haunted house film. By June 2017, it was officially announced that a third installment was in development, with David Leslie Johnson hired to write the screenplay. Michael Chaves was announced as the film's director, after previously directing The Curse of La Llorona (2019). Originally slated for a September 2020 release, the film was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It was released by Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema in the United Kingdom on May 26, 2021, and in the United States on June 4, where it also had a simultaneous month-long release on the HBO Max streaming service. Another Conjuring is on its way, and David Leslie Johnson (Dungeons and Dragons, The Conjuring 2) has been tapped by New Line Cinema to write a third installment of the horror franchise. This comes after the first two grossed $638.3M worldwide collectively. The Conjuring 3 is expected to bring writer-producer-director James Wan back into the fold but likely not in the same capacity. Wan directed the first Conjuring (which still holds the record as the biggest opening weekend for a non-sequel horror pic at $41.8M). Wan also directed, co-wrote produced the second in what has become a lucrative franchise. This time around, expect Wan to serve as producer through his Atomic Monster production company with Peter Safran, who is also in the wings to return as producer. Wan, however, is unlikely to direct the third installment. Screenwriter Johnson is well-known to genre fans, having scripted The Conjuring 2, horror film Orphan and the reboot of A Nightmare on Elm Street. Johnson also just worked with Wan and Safran on a rewrite of their superhero film Aquaman, which stars Jason Mamoa, Nicole Kidman and Amber Heard. The DC property is at Warner Bros, and we hear he is still helping on that when need be. The logline for the third installment of the popular Conjuring fan-chiseis under wraps but will also be based on another of the real-life case files of paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. The Conjuring 3 marks the seventh film in the growing Conjuring universe following its first two incarnations plus Annabelle, Annabelle: Creation, The Nun and The SAG-AFTRA Members Tout Crooked Man (which is currently in development).

The Vatican, Grace Buchholz Reporter suspicious of a once holy abbey, sends a Romanian priest and a soon to be Nun to investigate a death in the church. Upon arrival they realize the grounds are anything but holy. Working together they try to vanish an evil spirit back to where it came from. With a $22 million budget and a 96 minute run time, this so called horror film is mostly full of jump scares and suspenseful music. Advertised as the horror film of the year, the film only got a 23% on Rotten Tomatoes and 5.8 out of ten stars on IMDb. “When I first saw the trailer for the nun I thought that it was going to be super scary,” senior Anna Thelen said. “When I went to see it though, it ended up being a pretty mediocre movie with only a few jump scares.” With creaky floors and foggy hallways, “The Nun,” follows just about every horror story cliche there is. With suspense as characters turn corners and open doors, this prequel to “The Conjuring” series loses the meaning of horror. This prequel does not exactly fit clearly with the other movies in “The Conjuring” series, that scored four out of five stars on IMDb. In the “Annabelle” story, which is a spin off of the first “The Conjuring,” movie, the audience is introduced to a doll.

Then, the data downloaded were divided type of presupposition according to the presupposition triggers and the types of presuppositions. Meanwhile, out of 6 types of presuppositions, there are only four types of presuppositions found in the tagline of horror movie posters: existential presupposition, lexical presupposition, factive presupposition, and counterfactual presupposition.

In fact, with differences in language rules, the meaning of translation in the target language can be very different from the meaning in the source language. This can lead to a misunderstanding of a series of events. The purpose of this study was to find out in depth about the types of participants in translating participants from English to Indonesian on the subtitle of the film "The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist". This study uses a systemic functional linguistics approach with content analysis method. The results of this study were dominated by the participant range with a total of 41 elements of nouns (23.4%), and actor participants with a total of 29 elements of nouns (16.6%). Both types of participants were included in the material process which shows that the clauses contained in this movie subtitle show that the texts are a description of every process that is being carried out or is happening. Translation of participants in subtitles takes into account the use of language contained in each clause so that the delivery of messages from the source language (SL) is delivered based on the grammar or content of the message into the target language (TL) with due regard to the suitability of the grammar applicable in TL.

Mengapa Anabelle bisa muncul dalam cerita The Conjuring ?, hal tersebut ternyata merupakan sebuah media, dimana Anabelle, adalah salah satu unsur penting, dimana dari situlah munculnya ide dan istilah The Conjuring Universe. Anabelle lain dan tidak lain hanyalah sebagai sebuah sarana untuk menyampaikan kalau film The Conjuring ini, tidak berhenti pada satu sekuel saja, melainkan menjadi cikal bakal seluruh cerita horror dalam The Conjuring Universe ini, yang artinya hal tersebut juga menjadi sebuah ide atau industri marketing dari pihak produksi film tersebut. Film yang memiliki sekuel dan franchise tertentu, selalu menjadi penantian banyak orang, seperti Harry Potter, Avengers, The Fast and The Furious, yang nantinya bisa menjadi dan dikembangkan ceritanya menjadi sebuah spin – off dalam sebuah sekuel. Kalau dalam The Conjuring memiliki Anabelle, bagaimana dengan Pengabdi Setan ?. Penulis merasa kalau Pengabdi Setan akan memiliki sekuel, karena dilihat dari bagian ending filmnya menunjukkan, kalau ternyata sekte para penyembah setan tersebut sudah berkembang dan terus menyebar di nusantara. Tetapi semua itu kembali kepada para pihak produksi. BAB V Horror Barat dan Timur: Sebuah Kesimpulan A. Kesimpulan Penelitian ini memiliki kesimpulan kalau film horror adalah film yang memang tidak pernah ada habisnya, mulai dari segi pengembangan cerita, hingga bagaimana teknis saat produksi dimulai. Selain itu, ciri khas juga menjadi sebuah hal yang paling dinantikan oleh orang – orang yang menjadi penonton dalam film horror. Selain perkembangan film horror, ideologi serta mitos yang diangkat dari budaya masing – masing negara juga menentukan seberapa menariknya film horror tersebut.

Brittle has sued the writers, directors, producers, and distributors of these movies for copyright infringement, among other related claims. The defendants have filed three motions. Seven of the nine defendants have moved to dismiss for lack of personal jurisdiction. All of the defendants have moved to stay the case pending arbitration and have moved to dismiss for failure to state a claim.
