SUBJECT 2017 Season Race #17 – Highlights

00:00 INTRO CLIP – Voice over Sunday at Le Castellet in France, it’s race #17 of the Eurocup season. Conditions at the Circuit Paul Ricard are hot, with air temperature at 30°C, and track temperature mounting quickly. #10 (R- ace GP) is starting from pole position, ahead of #11 () and #4 Gabriel AUBRY (). SCHWARTZMAN was first to take the chequered flag in yesterday’s race here at Le Castellet, but he was hit with a time penalty due to the crash in the last lap of yesterday’s race that caused race leader, FENESTRAZ, to roll-over – luckily without injury to the driver.

00:25 Race start The cars get off to a clean start, and all get through the first turn without any hassles, despite one or two going off wide in the large run off zones here at the Hi-tech French track which, from next year will host the French F1 Grand Prix.

00:57 Voice over In the first moments of the race, #9 (R-ace GP) – who started fourth – goes on the attack for third, and finally gets through on the outside past AUBRY.

01:04 Voice over #13 Henrique CHAVES (AVF by Adrian Valles) goes on the attack, but comes into contact with #17 () causing him to spin.

01:10 Voice over #26 Presley MARTONO (Mark Burdett Motorsport) runs straight through.

#16 Thomas RANDLE (AVF by Adrian Valles) attacks and passes #31 Neil VERHAGEN (MP Motorsport) for 11 th position.

01:30 Voice over After a faultless race, SHWARTZMAN is all alone in the lead to take the chequered flag. A good few seconds back we find FENESTRAZ, followed by DEFOURNY who, despite making a last-minute attempt, was not able to pass into second position.

01:47 Voice over The young Russian SMP racing team driver is thrilled to make up for yesterday’s unfortunate incident with FENESTRAZ.
