01:30 Geographic intro of WSR 2014 meeting #5 – Moscow Raceway The Moscow Raceway was built by the famous motorsport facilities architect Hermann Tilke, and was inaugurated 2 years ago by the World Series by Renault.

01:41 Track presentation It is a 3.931 kilometre long, medium speed and very technical circuit. The track record in Formula Renault 3.5 is still held by Stoffel Vandorne in 1’20”025

01:51 Jingle Daniil Kvyat the Russian Star

01:56 Intro Clip (don’t talk)

02:11 ITW Daniil KVYAT – Red Bull F1 driver (in English) Hello, It’s Daniil Kvyat here! Moscow Raceway, built in 2012, is a modern racetrack and it’s an anticlockwise track. It’s about 100 kilometres west of Moscow, it has 10 corner and around 300 Kph as Top Speed. I think the main overtaking points on this track are Turn 9 and Turn 15 because there are some straights leading to these corners. And I think teams try to set the cars up for medium down force here because there are also some long straights and the corners are not so high speed.

02:47 Don’t talk

03:07 ITW Daniil KVYAT – Red Bull F1 driver (in English) I have a lot of remembers from here, and I raced here back in 2011 and 2012 so it was definitely a big part of my career spent here, and also I won so many races in this category, so for sure it’s some of the best memories of my career.

03:25 Voice Over After Vitaly PETROV, Daniil KVYAT is the second Russian Formula 1 driver. On his first GP with Scuderia Toro Rosso, he became the youngest F1 driver in the

3

points ever. He is our F1 guest, on a track where he dominated the pack 2 years ago in the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0.

03:29 ITW Daniil KVYAT – Red Bull F1 driver (in English) Yeah, of course the Renault 2.0 where I raced is a good step for young drivers to get a first taste of a big car, more or less big car… Then of course the Renault 3.5 is a very fast car already with a lot of down force so it’s of course very demanding for the driver as well. So it’s a good preparation for F1.

03:52 Voice Over Despite some mechanical issues, KVYAT has already three Top 10 under his belt in Formula 1. After 8 races, he is ranked 15 at the world championship.

04:18 ITW Daniil KVYAT – Red Bull F1 driver (in English) I think it’s been going well, we’re competitive most of the time, fighting for good positions in the top 10, fighting to enter Q3, so it’s a good place to be in… And we have been improving quite a lot in Austria, and now we hope to develop from that point even more, and try to be fast. Even in a more leading group…

04:40 Voice Over A superstar in his country, the Russian driver can’t wait to race in October in Sochi, host of the first Russian F1 Grand Prix in the world championship history. Expectations will be high…

04:56 ITW Daniil KVYAT – Red Bull F1 driver (in English) I wouldn’t call it negative pressure, it is a nice pressure, I remember this pressure from Moscow races for example, when I was racing here in 2012. So it was a positive pressure for me. I really enjoy my home crowd, cheering up for me and it’s a fantastic feeling so I’m looking forward to that race.

00:00 Jingle / Part 2 Feature N°3 Eurocup FR 2.0: Portrait Bruno Bonifacio

00:06 Voice Over 20 years old, Car Number 20… 20-14 may be the year for Bruno Bonifacio: since the beginning of the season, the young Brazilian stepped on the podium 3 times and won his first race at Spa-Francorchamps one month ago.

00:23 ITW Bruno Bonifacio (in English) It was very emotional… It’s a moment that we drivers wonder “how it’s gonna be”… Sometimes we go to sleep and we start thinking “how is it gonna be”… You start imagining winning and maybe creating the moment how is gonna be your first victory in the Eurocup, because it’s a category that, even from go- karts, all the drivers look at, and mirror themselves in this category… It’s the reference of the Junior Formulas… So it was a very special moment for me…

00:51 Voice Over With 70 points before Moscow, equal with , he is one of the best performers, but also consistant since the season started. Moscow Raceway was a chance for Bonifacio to score decisive points in the championship.

01:07 ITW Bruno Bonifacio (in English) I think our real goal is just to extract the maximum of our potential, because what’s gonna count is the consistency and all the points added together, so … Of course we’re looking at the championship and looking also at the people in front and people behind us… But actually the goal now, is just to get the best from our potential, the best from our car… And try to take the maximum amount of points home…

01:35 Voice Over

9

After Go-kart and having clinched the South American Formula 3 championship in 2011, Bruno travelled to Europe. It’s already a long story between the Italian Team and his Brazilian driver…

01:46 ITW Bruno Bonifacio (in English) The temperament of the people is very similar, let’s say we have all a little bit of hot blood inside our veins. So for sure it helps the atmosphere it helps the environment inside the team as well. The way they work is very precise, and they always try to fight for the top… They are never happy with other positions, and sometimes, when we are at the top, they still fight and work to improve. So, this is a thing I like a lot in the team.

02:12 Voice Over While Brazil is the centre of the planet during the Soccer World Cup, Bruno tries to stay focussed on his aim, far from home and from his family… But his heart remained in Sao Paulo…

02:21 ITW Bruno Bonifacio (in English) It’s been good so far… I’m happy to be in Italy, I’m happy to be living my dream, which is what I’ve always wanted so, maybe this bad part of being far away from home doesn’t cover all the good things that I’m living here… Even if I feel at home in Italy, my first team and my heart will always be Brazilian. But of course after cheering for Brazil I was cheering for Italy… Unfortunately they are outside of the World Cup now, so it’s only Brazil now…

02:50 Voice Over Bruno Bonifacio qualified 19 th for race 1, not the best starting position... Let’s see what happened to him!

I had quite a good start and Nick (De Vriest) didn’t have a really good one and went a bit too wide, I think… So I could take the advantage and ovetake him. I had quite a good gap at the beginning but afterwords it was difficult to keep the gap and … Yes, it was good to have the gap in the beginning because otherwise I think I’d have had a lot of pressure.

Script PART 3

00:00 Part 3 / Jingle Feature FR 3.5: Nato under pressure

00:05 VOICE OVER Second season for French driver #2 Norman NATO in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series. He must deliver after some disappointing results last year, especially when he missed a possible victory from pole position in Spain.

00:18 Interview #2 Norman NATO (Fra) – Dams IN FRENCH “Right: second race weekend, I was on pole position, then a rookie mistake and I did not conclude. But it didn’t shoot me down. Reverse it: it gave me some extra motivation.”

00:28 VOICE OVER Nato was also under the domination of Kevin Magnussen, his team mate within the Dams team.

00:34 Interview #2 Norman NATO (Fra) – Dams

17

IN FRENCH “It was quite hard to accept to deal with it. It’s never easy to be beaten by your team mate. Then I took it as a good experience, I learnt new things in order to improve myself.”

00:46 VOICE OVER After another difficult kick off in 2014, he finally won the prestigious Monaco race a few weeks ago.

00:53 Interview #2 Norman NATO (Fra) – Dams In French “Winning in Monaco is a dream. The circuit is a myth, it’s just fantastic. To be honest, I did not realize what I’ve achieved. We had to concentrate immediately on Spa-Francorchamps. So I kept it aside from my feelings in order to focus on Spa. Then I thought to myself: whatever my career will be, I will stay as a winner in Monaco. Huge and emotional…”

01:19 Interview #2 Norman NATO (Fra) – Dams IN FRENCH “Let’s say Monaco had been the reflect of both last year and the early stage of the current season. We sometimes had some difficult time, but in the Principality we put everything together to achieve a perfect result. Then Spa was mixed, with some troubles in qualifying but strong racing from P12 on the grid to P5 with good lap times. Overall, you just need to put everything together and try to get consistently as many points as possible.”

01:46 Interview #2 Norman NATO (Fra) – Dams IN FRENCH

18

“Everything is clear in my head. Consistency is the key. You must win when you have a winning package, and you must try to do your best when you cannot win. So my approach remains clear. My first two meetings were disappointing, then I won in Monaco, then I finished P5 twice in Belgium. I’m ok, I feel good, I am on the right line. Let’s see where I am at the end of the season.”

02:01 VOICE OVER Nevertheless, He must cope once again with a very strong team mate, championship leader Carlos Sainz.

02:09 Interview #2 Norman NATO (Fra) – Dams IN FRENCH “With a team mate weaker than me, I would be the team leader, but maybe I would not be as motivated as I am. If I achieve to beat Carlos, It maybe means I am stronger than him and deserve a seat in Formula 1. So the situation is perfect. It had been hard to deal with it last year because I have always been the number 1 in my teams. Kevin was stronger and I just had to work harder and ask myself the right questions.”

02:36 VOICE OVER The main part of Nato’s process is to accept to deal sometimes with a package which is not totally perfect.

02:45 Interview #2 Norman NATO (Fra) – Dams IN FRENCH “I must admit I like to feel 100% confident with the car in order to express myself, and it is one of my weaknesses so far. We work on this aspect, we found

19

the right overall balance in Monaco, but it takes time. I am not far from the perfect approach, the championship is far from being over, we will see…”

06:13 The weekend has been disappointing for Carlos Sainz. But thanks to a solid gap, he keeps the championship lead after the Russian meeting. The Formula Renault 3.5 tradition applies: as a leader at midseason, he will get a special gift during the next meeting at the Nürburgring: a drive with a Red Bull Formula 1 car!

06:30 ITW Carlos Sainz (In English) Everything related to is a great gift. It’s one of my dreams to become a Formula One driver. Trying the Red Bull car from 2 years ago is an amazing feeling. Even if it’s for 10 or 15 minutes, it’s gonna be a very good feeling. Between FR 3.5 and F1 cars, I think the main differences are, obviously the engine with quite a lot more power. But the downforce are quite similar. I was actually surprised because when I first tried the F1, I did not feel a big step forward in terms of high speed balance because the FR 3.5 has already a lot of downforce in high speed corners. But you feel quite a lot the difference on the throttle application, because you have more horse power so it is more tricky.

22

And then, the F1 is a bit more lighter so in the changes or direction it’s a bit better. But there is nothing out of control, you can keep used to it very quickly.

07:29 Jingle Closing Clip

07:38 Voice over 78000 spectators attended to this Russian meeting of the World Series by Renault 2014… Next Rounds will be held, on 12th and 13th of July, at the Legendary Nürburgring, in the Eiffel Mountains, south of Germany.

07:56 Coming Next Once again, Formula Renault 3.5 series and Eurocup Formula 2.0 races will be the climax of the weekend. Don’t miss them! Be there …
