It is indispensable for a populous country with poor natural resources like Japan to generate innovation. The importance of innovation has considerably increased since 1990s when growth by catching up with Western competitors was no longer possible. We have, however, insufficient understanding on how innovation is generated, which involves the long and social process for turning technological invention into industrial development. Innovation is a complex social phenomenon in which economic, political, organizational, historical and legislative factors are correlated with each other. In order to clarify this process, there needed to be places for interdisciplinary, systematic research where people from various fields of social science could work together utilizing the knowledge of natural science. -

The IAAF World Athletics Championships Doha 2019 is a great stageA for you to challenge the “power and skill” of the world, and it has an important meaning as a prelude to 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games which is quickly approaching. Expand your athletic ability you have gained through competition experiences and years of hard training here in Doha and make a huge step towards the grand stage. Along with your athletic ability, human quality is also very important. Athletics is an individual sport except for relays, but it is necessary to have Team JAPAN awareness. The consciousness of competing as a team will also enhance your human quality, and that rise helps to improve individual competitiveness. For athletes and staff, I ask you to unite by respecting each other, and have the spirit of “One for All, All for One”. -
Cubed Circle Newsletter 241 – Consistency Is Hard
Cubed Circle Newsletter 241 – Consistency is Hard As many of probably noticed, we have been posting late and sporadically for the last month. This was, obviously, not our intention, but with the second semester eating into my free time, staying up to date is a tall order. Even without the newsletter itself seeing weekly publication the site has still remained up to date on a weekly basis, thanks primarily to co-author Ben Carass, as well as guest writers Paul Cooke and Leslie Lee III. But, the newsletter has survived for well over 241 weeks, and will hopefully thrive in the years to come. I have attempted to make provisions for publishing related tasks which should minimize the risk of major delays (obviously there will be some regular delays, as this late issue can attest), but we have some fail safes in place in order to keep this to a minimum. With all of this said, we have a great issue for everyone this week with Paul Cooke discussing the Pro-Wrestling Only Greatest Wrestler Ever project and his personal experience with the poll, Ben covers the news including tons of results from Japan and the Lesnar USADA violation, the Mixed Bag returns with a look at comedy wrestling, Ricochet/Ospreay, and a potential WWE match of the year -- plus Ben also looks at last Sunday's Battleground show and the first RAW of the brand split (a very good show). Also, for those unaware, we now have an official Twitter account @CubedCircleWres allowing the banger to unprecedented highs at @BenCarass and @RyanClingman. -

The myth of the unbeatable fighter is just that, a myth. In what will go down as the single most memorable UFC fight in history, Ronda Rousey was not only defeated, but systematically destroyed by a fighter and a coaching staff that had spent years preparing for that night. On 2/28, Holly Holm and Ronda Rousey were the two co-headliners on a show at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The idea was that Holm, a former world boxing champion, would impressively knock out Raquel Pennington, a .500 level fighter who was known for exchanging blows and not taking her down. Rousey was there to face Cat Zingano, a fight that was supposed to be the hardest one of her career. Holm looked unimpressive, barely squeaking by in a split decision. Rousey beat Zingano with an armbar in 14 seconds. -

Приводятся сведения о 127 видах дневных чешуекрылых (Lepidoptera: Papilionoidea), собранных в Восточном Саяне (Республика Бурятия) в 1996–2014 гг. Общее число известных отсюда видов теперь составляет 157. Впервые для этих мест указываются виды Pieris rapae (L.), Pontia edusa (F.), Polyommatus amandus (Schn.), P. icarus (Rott.), Limenitis populi (L.), Nymphalis antiopa (L.), N. vau- album (Den. et Schiff.), Vanessa cardui (L.) и Melitaea phoebe (Den. et Schiff.). Abstract.
