34 Jonathan ’89 and Natalie Silverstein gave a generous gift to the college to inspire hope, goodwill, and persistence in the Class of 2021 during a challenging year. A portion of their gift matched the Senior Class Gift to encourage philanthropy to Denison. Members of the senior class identified community organizations that would benefit from philanthropy. Through the Senior Gift Committee, the senior class developed a voting process to allocate funds among those community organizations, as well as one Denison initiative. Collectively, the Class of 2021 voted to establish the Class of 2021 Endowed Fund for Mental Health Wellness to support student access to mental health wellness programs, resources, and initiatives at Denison University and granted more than $100,000 to community organizations in Licking County. Thank you to the Silverstein family, the Class of 2021, and the community partners for fostering a culture of philanthropy on Denison’s campus.
