Kaolin Mine

 The above is located in the -Bidor area, , which is known as the Kaolin belt in Malaysia. And it covers an area of 200acres. The Kaolin Belt has been in operation by 3 major clay processing plants well over few decades utilizing clay resources mined within this area.

 The company has obtained a lease of 60 years on the land till 12th Dec 2050.

 The Kaolin deposit is estimated at 10 million tonnes and an inferred tonnage of 15million tonnes. These deposits are kaolintic in nature with some that are green and grey clay exhibiting even better characteristics. The green clay are sericitic in nature and could fetch 2-3 times the price of Kaolin.

 The Kaolin can be used in the production for the paint, plastics and paper industry.

 There were 34 borehole logging in 2004 are made down to 19 metres depth using a mechanized drilling machine with 75 samples for analysis.

 Based on the conservative market price of RM30 per tonne of the crude (raw and unprocessed) kaolin and RM100 per tonne of processed kaolin, the potential market value of the raw kaolin was calculated based on a tonnage of 10 million tonnes and inferred tonnage of 15million tonnes. This lead to an estimated value of RM 450million of raw kaolin and RM900million of processed kaolin (i.e. based on the results of laboratory tests 38µm wet sieving where a recovery rate of 60% was obtained).

 Location: Lot 2146, of Bidor, District of Batang Padang, Darul Ridzuan. Land area: 200.03 acres parcel of land with rich kaolin deposits and free of encumbrance.

 Valuation done in 2008 at RM 152 million was based on borings done up to 19 metres.

 The neighbourhood has 3 other manufacturers ie. AKI, Tinex and Kaolin Malaysia has run out of resources that pushes up the price of processed kaolin to RM480-550 per ton. These manufactures are still profitable with a recovery rate of around 22%.

 They have obtained 30 yr mining permit.
