Nº 7 INTRODUCCIÓN 1.- INTRODUCCIÓN 1.1.- ANTECEDENTES Y NECESIDADES DEL PLANEAMIENTO. Se redacta este documento de Avance del Plan General de Ordenación Urbanística por la Oficina Provincial de Planeamiento de la Excma. Diputación Provincial de Málaga, a petición del Ilmo. Ayuntamiento de Valle de Abdalajís y en virtud del Convenio Marco de Planeamiento suscrito entre la Consejería de Obras Públicas y Transportes de la Junta de Andalucía y la Diputación Provincial de Málaga con fecha de 28 de octubre de 2003 y el Convenio Sectorial Zona Norte suscrito con fecha 5 de marzo de 2004. Actualmente, el municipio de Valle de Abdalajís no cuenta con ningún instrumento de Planeamiento General definitivamente aprobado. Por ello es necesario el establecimiento de un marco normativo con el objetivo de garantizar un modelo urbanístico ordenado y sostenible y dar respuesta a la demanda de urbanización de nuevos terrenos. Como antecedentes cabe destacar que en el año 1984 se redacto un Proyecto de Delimitación de Suelo Urbano por los Servicios de Arquitectura y Urbanismo de la Diputación Provincial de Málaga, que no llegó a aprobarse definitivamente. En marzo de 1994, la Diputación de Málaga inicia la tramitación del Avance de las Normas Subsidiarias de ámbito provincial, incluyéndose la ordenación urbanística del municipio del Valle de Abdalajís. En el año 1995 se inicia la redacción de un documento de Normas Subsidiarias de Planeamiento Municipal que llega a aprobarse inicialmente y a culminar el período preceptivo de información pública. Cambios sustanciales en el documento urbanístico tramitado obligan a otra información pública y al trámite preceptivo de Evaluación de Impacto Ambiental, al entrar en vigor la Ley de Ordenación Urbanística de Andalucía. La tramitación urbanística se paraliza principalmente al no poder obtener Declaración Previa de Impacto Ambiental viable ya que es incompatible un modelo de crecimiento ordenado y sostenible del municipio con los requerimientos efectuados por la Administración competente en la gestión de las vías pecuarias, ya que todas las vías de comunicación históricas que llegan al núcleo urbano son pecuarias y no están deslindadas. Es por ello, que el Ayuntamiento del Valle de Abdalajís, ante esta situación, opta por intentar un modelo alternativo diferente y comienza a plantear otras estrategias de ocupación del suelo que puedan ser compatibles con la estructura territorial y con la legislación sectorial vigente. Así comienza a estudiar nuevas propuestas de los propietarios de suelo, con el fin de incorporarlos al proceso urbanizador. La entrada en vigor de la Ley 7/2002 de 17 de diciembre, de Ordenación Urbanística de Andalucía el 20 de enero de 2003 (L.O.U.A.) ha supuesto un cambio importante en la regulación del urbanismo en la Comunidad Autónoma Andaluza y la necesidad de adaptación a la misma de todos los instrumentos de planeamiento. Uno de los cambios más significativos es el ABRIL 2006 AVANCE DEL PLAN GENERAL DE ORDENACIÓN URBANÍSTICA DE VALLE DE ABDALAJÍS Pg. Nº 8 INTRODUCCIÓN establecimiento de una única figura de Planeamiento General Municipal, el Plan General de Ordenación Urbanística. El Avance del Plan General de Ordenación Urbanística se redacta -en virtud de lo dispuesto en el art. 29 de la Ley 7/2002 de 17 de diciembre , en relación con el art. 125 del Reglamento de Planeamiento Urbanístico, aplicable con carácter supletorio en nuestra Comunidad Autónoma de acuerdo con la Disposición Transitoria 9ª de la LOUA Los trabajos de revisión del Planeamiento General de Valle de Abdalajís han comenzado profundizando en el análisis de los problemas y oportunidades que presenta el municipio en la actualidad. Los trabajos de redacción del Plan General de Ordenación Urbanística han alcanzado un grado suficiente de desarrollo para que, formalizados en el presente documento de Avance de Planeamiento, puedan ser conocidos, con el objeto de propiciar la adecuada coordinación administrativa y participación pública que exige la LOUA (art. 29). Este trabajo se realiza en coordinación con los responsables del urbanismo municipal e intenta dar respuesta a la política municipal adoptada por la Corporación, que se encamina a ordenar y controlar el desarrollo futuro del territorio municipal, contemplando todos los aspectos básicos, como las características de la población y de la actividad económica, el modelo de crecimiento urbano y de ocupación del territorio, niveles de equipamientos y servicios, necesidad de viviendas, formas de gestión.

They are long routes offi cially approved and signposted with a minimum length Lof 50km (see the Section Hiking of this Guide of Active Tourism). This region boasts four long-distance trails: GR-7 Tarifa-Andorra-Temple of Apollo. Long route across Spain linking the town of Tarifa and Andorra. It is part of the E4 European long-distance path, which ends in the Temple of Apollo in Greece. The GR-7 traverses the Serranía de Ronda from south to north along the valley Valle del Guadiaro, in the plateau of Ronda. GR-249 Gran Senda de Málaga. It is composed of 35 separate routes along the most beautiful coastal and inland landscapes. GR-241 crosses the valleys Valle del Guadiaro and Valle del Genal in the Serranía de Ronda. N. 00653/1 In the past few months, the Order has been preparing for a second beatification, once again, in Spain! This time it is the turn of Br. Leopold of Alpandeire, a friar who is close to our own times. His life was not distinguished for any spectacular works but rather for the simplicity and fidelity he put into everything he did. Of him it can be said that he was before all else a “man of God”, steeped in His Spirit. He was a questing friar, and so would go out every day among the people. His was not a position of power: he simply asked, and left the other person free. He would beg alms to support the friars, and leave the giver, in return, with serenity and peace, gifts of the Spirit. Questing in this form, as Br. Leopold exercised it, has all but disappeared in the Order. However, we do need to discover new ways of being present among the people as “lesser brothers”. “Subject to everyone in this world”, says St Francis in the Praises of the Virtues, to give them an opportunity of sharing and to offer them “His peace”, the peace of the Lord Jesus.

Have some lunch in the shady ‘Secret Garden’ of Restaurant/Cafeteria ‘AROMA’ and maybe make some purchases from the craft stores that surround the main Plaza and down the little lanes. The quality of the leather goods in Mijas is exceptionally high. Originally founded by the Tartessians in prehistoric times, the Romans used to mine Marble from the area, calling the village Tamisa before it became a Moorish mining town Mixa which morphed later on into Mijas.
