Ferrari in Art – the Sporting Legacy Ferrari in Art – The Sporting Legacy By International Artist Mark Dickens in collaboration with renowned F1 Photographer Keith Sutton Celebrating over 70 years of Ferrari ‘Ferrari in Art – The Sporting Legacy’ celebrates everything Ferrari. The cars, the drivers, the history and most importantly of all, the PASSION! Ferrari has an unrivalled, unbridled position in the automotive world and sits in a unique place embodying the very essence of beauty, design, speed, style, class and winning. These new series of artworks by Mark Dickens in collaboration with Keith Sutton encompasses all these lauded features. Comprising 25 paintings celebrating the first seventy years of Ferrari in a sporting context we have approached drivers, owners, fans, collectors, engineers and motorsport personalities asking them to express exclusively in their own handwritten words what the name Ferrari means to them providing a very real personal insight. Mark's paintings are mixed-media works, building layer upon layer of photographic transfers, hand-made paper, gold leaf, fabric, resin and paint. For each painting, drivers and motorsport personalities were asked to express in their own words what Ferrari means to them. The quotes were then incorporated by Mark into the painting, to provide a fascinating insight into what Ferrari means to them. Ferrari in Art – The Sporting Legacy The Collaboration British artist Mark Dickens is world renowned in F1, his work can be found in the Royal collections of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan to numerous Grand Prix circuits and collections around the world. He was commissioned by Bernie Ecclestone in 2011 to be the official F1 artist creating a painting for every Grand Prix. Dickens artwork involves collaborations with people and places which take the visual format of mixed media, building layers of photographic transfers, paper, gold leaf, fabric, paint and handwritten texts set in resin. Acclaimed photographer Keith Sutton entered the motorsport photographic industry in 1980 and went on to establish the world’s largest independent motorsport picture agency – Sutton Motorsport Images. Keith is a published author, the winner of many photographic awards, has participated in documentaries and films surrounding Motorsport and from his wealth of experience is a well-known and respected name in the world of both photography and motorsport. It’s the second time Mark and Keith have collaborated together to create such a unique, historical and authentic collection. In 2014 they created ‘World Champions in Art’ which comprised of 32 paintings, one for each Formula 1 World Champion. The collection was purchased by four-time World Champion Sebastian Vettel. Ferrari in Art – The Sporting Legacy The Story For Ferrari in Art - The Sporting Legacy Keith relentlessly tracked down drivers, owners, fans, collectors, designers, engineers, and motorsport personalities and asked them to express, in their own handwritten words, what the name "Ferrari" means to them. Over 129 handwritten (never been seen before) quotes were obtained directly from the individuals and creatively transferred on to the 25 pieces of artwork, which artist Mark worked tirelessly on to create. The nobel collection of hand written responses, which took over nine months to compile, includes the likes of Piero Ferrari, Stefano Domenicalli, Lawrence Stroll, Sir Jackie Stewart, Bernie Ecclestone, Nigel Mansell, Fernando Alonso, Pedro De La Rosa, Ross Brawn, Felipe Massa, Jean Alesi, Gordon Ramsey, Marco Piccinini, Sebastian Vettel, Rory Byrne, Charles Leclerc, Luca di Montezemolo, Gerhard Berger, Patrick Tambay, Fernando Alonso, Rubens Barrichello, Mario Andretti, Rob Smedley, Rory Byrne, Stefan Johansson, Nick Mason and Prince Albert of Monaco, to name but a few. Ferrari in Art – The Sporting Legacy The Story – continued… The artworks feature tributes to the captivating elements of Ferrari over the past 70 years: Enzo Ferrari Ferrari - Through the decades Ferrari in Monaco Ferrari Road Cars Maranello Ferrari –Technical Ferrari Fans Ferrari – The Sports Car Building layers of photographic transfers, paper, gold leaf, fabric, paint and transfers of the handwritten texts, set in resin. The various textures of the artworks and unique content creates something that has never been done before and will undoubtedly never be done again. The drivers, team principals, designers, engineers, collectors and fans are all transcended in this extraordinary and compelling collection. Ferrari in Art – The Sporting Legacy Unveilling the Collection – Royal Automobile Club, London Several notable guests attended the launch event, having kindly contributed to the artworks. One of which was Ross Brawn OBE, former Ferrari F1 Team Principal. Speaking of his time at Ferrari, Brawn said “It was a very special period in my life. Ferrari is very much a team spirit. I love the history of Ferrari, it wasn’t manufactured, it was organic. Enzo Ferrari didn’t sit down and say we are going to create this empire, and this is how we are going to do it, everything just evolved to be the world-famous car racing team and car manufacturer that it is today. To be a small part of that is very special. I’ve been lucky enough to stand on the podium at Monza when Ferrari have won and there’s no better sensation than that. Seeing the huge crowds and the emotion and passion of the fans”. Seeing his quote adorning the Enzo Ferrari artwork Uberto Selvatico Estense, the President of The Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari said “It’s unbelievable and makes me very proud to see this. For me it’s a dream, to be part of the Ferrari legend is something incredible”. Ferrari in Art – The Sporting Legacy Unveilling the Collection – continued….. Brenda Vernor reflected on her time as the Personal Assistant to Enzo Ferrari for 20 years “It was the best years of my life. I was the only woman, an English woman working with 199 men from drivers to mechanics. You couldn’t do that now”. “Just reading the names of those that have contributed is like a ‘Who’s Who’ of Ferrari – from the Designers who helped create the dream to World Champions who realised the dream – from Team Principals who guided the dream to Collectors and Owners who live the dream – From Engineers who maintained the dream to the die-hard fans who love the dream!” Ferrari in Art – The Sporting Legacy Ferrari in Art – The sporting Legacy “Ferrari stands for excellence, expertise, competition, elegance and tradition. All drivers dream at some point in their career, of racing for Ferrari, as it embodies the very essence of high performance in sport. I dare draw a parallel between Ferrari and the Monaco Grand Prix, both emblematic entities associated with the history of Formula One racing. Ferrari is more than a recognised brand across the globe. It is a generator of dreams for most of us. It’s an aura that is not about to wane in any way with future generations. Since the women and men who contribute to it are inbred with its history and the will to perpetuate Enzo Ferrari’s legacy” His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco Ferrari in Art – The sporting Legacy “After my family, Ferrari is the most significant part of my life. Ferrari means Passion, Advanced Technology, Exclusivity and Beauty” Luca di Montezemolo Italian Businessman Former Chairman of Ferrari 1991 – 2014 Formerly Chairman of Fiat S.p.A. and President of Confindustria and FIEG Ferrari in Art – The sporting Legacy “Ferrari for me, it’s my life Forza Ferrari” Jean Alesi Ferrari F1 Driver from 1991 to 1995 Ferrari in Art – The sporting Legacy “Ferrari is known all around the world. Everybody in a Ferrari - I am - sooner or later in life. Why? because Ferrari stands for so much more than fast cars. Ferrari is a way of life, it stands for passions and is a living legend fed by people working for Ferrari and those dreaming of Ferrari. You don’t know what I mean? I hope you get the chance to take a seat inside a Ferrari and you’ll know immediately” Sebastian Vettel Ferrari F1 Driver 2015 - 2018 Four-time Formula One World Champion Ferrari in Art – The sporting Legacy “Driving for Ferrari was a honour and a privilege, with so many cherished memories. Also to be nicknamed “Il Leone” by the Italian fans was very special. Ferrari is a family second to none –” Nigel Mansell CBE Former Ferrari F1 Racing Driver 1989 – 1990 Ferrari in Art – The sporting Legacy “Ferrari! That unique and magical mix of Technology, Romance and Sporting Commitment – Oh and I didn’t mention the sound…!” Nick Mason Ferrari Collector and Owner of a 250 GTO ‘Disciple’ – Drummer with Pink Floyd Ferrari in Art – The sporting Legacy “Why Ferrari? If you saw one on the motorway when you were five or six you never forgot it. My dream was to win three Michelin Stars and own a Ferrari. I can see the synergy between what I do and what happens at Ferrari” Gordon Ramsay 3 Star Michelin Chef and Ferrari Owner Ferrari in Art – The sporting Legacy “My father would have liked Ferrari of today? Tough and demanding, as a father and as a boss, capable of gestures of great and unexpected generosity. Courageous and innovative, always looking to the future decided to set up the “Scuderia” in 1929 the year of the great crisis and the project of creating a car factory in Italy still living in the ruins of the Second World War. My father was interested to the future, not to the past. Not just interested in the cars of the future but on all new technologies from which top take imagination for future projects. For sure he would have been enthusiastic about the “internet era”, but unfortunately died before.

The company is believed to have taken the decision after indications in Japan that the automotive markets are not getting any better, Honda having recently announced a 56% drop in earnings in the last quarter, compared to 2008. Prior to that the company was looking at other options, such as selling the team on to someone else. This has now been axed and the company will simply close things down and settle all the necessary contractual commitments as quickly as possible. The news, if confirmed, will be another blow to the manufacturer power in F1 as it will be the third withdrawal by a major car company in 11 months, following in the footsteps of Honda and BMW. There are also doubts about the future of Renault's factory team. The news will also be a blow to the Formula One Teams' Association, although the members have learned that working together produces much better results than trying to take on the authorities alone. It also means that there are now just three manufacturers left: Ferrari, Mercedes and Renault, and engine supply from Cosworth will become essential to ensure there are sufficient engines to go around.

NEW Press Information Coburg, December 10th, 2010 NEW 2 The legend returns. The NEW STRATOS will be officially presented on 29./30.11.2010, at the Paul Ricard Circuit in Le Castellet. The legendary Lancia Stratos HF was without a doubt the most spectacular and successful rally car of the 70s. With its thrilling lines and uncompro- mising design tailored to rally use, the Stratos not only single-handedly rewrote the history of rallying, it won a permanent place in the hearts of its countless fans with its dramatic performance on the world’s asphalt and gravel tracks – a performance which included three successive world championship titles. For Michael Stoschek, a collector and driver of historic racing cars, as well as a successful entrepreneur in the automotive supply industry, the development and construction of a modern version of the Stratos represents the fulfillment of a long-held dream. Back in 2003, the dream had already begun to take on a concrete form; now, at last, it has become a reality: In November 2010, forty years after the Stratos’ presentation at the Turin Motor Show, the New Stratos will be publicly presented for the first time at the Paul Ricard Circuit. The legend returns. NEW 3 A retrospective. It all began in 1970, at the Turin exhibition stand of the automobile designer, Bertone. The extreme Stratos study on display there – a stylistic masterpiece by the designer Marcello Gandini – didn’t just excite visitors, but caught the attention of Cesare Fiorio, Lancia’s team manager at the time… and refused to let go.

PR Document 2020 Japanese Super Formula Championship Series Media Information August 27 2020 1 Super Formula : Then and Now In the 1950s, the Fédération Internationale de I’Automobile (FIA) launched the Drivers’ Championship to find the world’s fastest formula car drivers the purest form of racing machine. That ethos was passed on to all FIA national member organizations.Top-level formula motor racing has been held in Japan in various forms since 1973, when Formula 2000 was first launched. The competition evolved into Formula Two in 1978 and then Formula 3000 in 1987. Japan Race Promotion, Inc. (JRP) was established in 1995 and continued carrying the competition torch in 1996 under the name of Formula Nippon. In 2013, the name of the competition was changed again to Japanese Championship Super Formula and a bold plan was implemented to upgrade the race cars and lift the profile of the competition with the clear aim of spreading the appeal of Super Formula from Japan to other parts of Asia. Another hope was to turn the series into a third great open-wheel racing competition to go along with Formula One and IndyCar. The competition’s name was changed again in 2016 to Japanese Super Formula Championship. In 2017, BS Fuji began broadcasting live Super Formula races, giving many motorsport fans the chance to watch championship races on free-to-air television. In the early days, formula racing in Japan was led by top drivers such as Kunimitsu Takahashi, Kazuyoshi Hoshino and Satoru Nakajima, who later competed on the global stage in Formula One.
