The Democratic Party of the City of Oswego has endorsed .for the office of Mayor of Oswego. The election is November 5, 1991, and I expect to be elected. It has become clear to me that I will not have time to continue on as Editor of the NSA Newsletter. Unfortunately, there may not be enough lead time to find a replacement for the October issue. I hope someone will be willing to serve RSA in this capacity. It is an enjoyable task, and I am sure others will find easier and better ways to accomplish it. At'this stage Cassuming a successFu1 political campaign), there is no way I can continue with my academic function, conduct the Mayor's duties, and put out the N-ewsletter twice per year. Whatever advice I can give to my replacement will be given as completely as possible. Iris Charvat and Walt Sundberg were very helpful to me, and I thank them again.
