Camp in Oxnard is set to break on Fri., Aug. 17 and continue at The Star in Frisco, Texas at the end of August. In 2017 the Cowboys practiced in front of 55,432 fans during their stay in Oxnard. This year marks the 13th time the Cowboys have spent at least a portion of their training camp in Oxnard, and the 39th overall training camp in California. Six seasons ago, Dallas came back to the west coast after training in the Alamodome in San Antonio prior to the 2011 season. Since 2001, the Cowboys have held training camp in Oxnard (2001, 2004-06, 2008, 2010 and 2012-18), and/or Wichita Falls (2001) and/or San Antonio (2007, 2009, 2010 and 2011) and/or Frisco (2017-18). Dallas Cowboys Training Camp is one of the annual highlights for Dallas Cowboys fans. It offers a rare opportunity for Cowboys fans from all over the United States and the world to get an “up close and personal look” at their favorite team with all practice sessions free and open to the public. H Training Camp History H June 3, 1960 – The newly formed Dallas Cowboys franchise announced that it will train at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. Rookies reported on July 9. May 24, 1961 – Due to its proximity to their first exhibition game against Minnesota in Minneapolis, the Dallas Cowboys move training camp to St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn. Camp opened on July 9. June 8, 1962 – The Dallas Cowboys move their training camp site to the campus of Northern Michigan College on the shores of Lake Superior in Marquette, Mich. Rookies reported on July 13. July 12, 1963 – Because the team played three of its first four preseason games on the west coast, the Dallas Cowboys moved training camp to California Lutheran College in Thousand Oaks, Calif. This camp, which was the first of 27 at CLC, opened on July 12. Dec. 6, 1989 – For the first time in the 30-year history of the team, the Dallas Cowboys trained in Texas as the club announced its 1990 training camp would be held at St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas. This camp, the first of eight at St. Ed’s, opened on July 22. Feb. 17, 1998 – The Cowboys begin a four-year stay at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas, with their 1998 camp. The first camp at Midwestern State University opened on July 16. In 2001, the Cowboys split camp between Midwestern State and the Resi- dence Inn in Oxnard, Calif., spending two weeks at each location. May 17, 2002 – The Cowboys continue their commitment to fans in the state of Texas by announcing the 2002 training camp will take place at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. The camp, which ran for four weeks, opened on July 26. The Cowboys returned to the Alamodome again in 2003. Oct. 24, 2003 – The Cowboys announce a return to California for training camp. For the 2004-06 seasons, the Cowboys conduct their entire training camp in Oxnard, Calif., at the Residence Inn at River Ridge, using practice fields provided byThe City of Oxnard. The Cowboys opened their first returned camp on July 30, 2004. May 4, 2006 – The Dallas Cowboys announce a five-year commitment to once again call the City of San Antonio its summer home be- ginning in 2007. The Alamodome, which played host to Cowboys training camps in 2002 and 2003 will again be the site for the team’s summer practice sessions. Summer, 2010 – The Dallas Cowboys held a split camp, spending the first portion in the Alamodome in San Antonio and the second at the Residence Inn at River Ridge in Oxnard. July, 2012 – The Dallas Cowboys returned to Oxnard, California for all of training camp at the Residence Inn at River Ridge after spend- ing the 2011 training camp in San Antonio at the Alamodome. August, 2017 – After spending the first four weeks of training camp in Oxnard, California, the Dallas Cowboys returned home to hold their first ever training camp practices at their new practice facility atThe Star in Frisco. RYAN FIELD RYAN FIELD The Benecia, Calif., native continued to be Thorson's most reliable target, hauling in four Big Ten Network WGN (720 AM) receptions for first downs to go with his second touchdown of the season. Through the first Eric Collins, PxP Dave Eanet, PxP three games of the season, 13 of his 18 catches have resulted in a first down or touchdown.

From youth football clinics to character-building initiatives, military appreciation and school celebrations, thousands of local children and their families will experience the excitement of Draft through a series of free events. The following are some of the ways that the NFL, Dallas Cowboys and partners will celebrate Draft week and leave a positive legacy in Dallas. Full details on each of these events and participating players will be available via media advisories during Draft week. NFL Draft Fuel Up to Play 60 Touchdown Celebration Nearly 500 students from Dallas-Fort Worth area elementary schools will come to AT&T Stadium on Tuesday, April 24 from 10 AM – 12 PM for a youth health and wellness celebration hosted by the Dallas Cowboys, Dairy MAX, NFL and Fuel Up to Play 60. The celebration honors schools and students that have achieved Touchdown status with Fuel Up to Play 60, successfully completing the program. Fuel Up to Play 60 features six steps focused on fueling up with healthy foods to have the energy for 60 minutes of activity. Student teams will participate in a pep rally and a physical activity that reinforces the program’s healthy message. Activities will be led by Dallas Cowboys Legends DEMARCUS WARE and BRADIE JAMES, along with representatives from USA Football and featuring CHARLOTTE JONES ANDERSON and Fuel Up to Play 60 NFL Draft Ambassador and Frisco Heritage High School student, TRINITY WILLIAMS.

    137 PRO FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME All-time Florida State gridiron greats Walter Jones and Derrick Brooks are used to making history. The longtime NFL stars added an achievement that will without a doubt move to the top of their accolade-filled biographies when they were inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame inAugust, 2014. Jones and Brooks became the first pair of first-ballot Hall of Famers from the same class who attended the same college in over 40 years. The pair’s journey together started 20 years ago. Just as Brooks was wrapping up his All-America career at Florida State in 1994, Jones was joining the Seminoles out of Holmes Community College (Miss.) for the 1995 season. Jones and Brooks were the best at what they did for over a decade in the NFL. Brooks went to 11 Pro Bowls and never missed a game in 14 seasons (all with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers), while Jones became the NFL’s premier left tackle, going to nine Pro Bowls over 12 seasons with the Seattle Seahawks. Both retired in 2008, and, six years later, Jones and Brooks were teammates for the first time as first-ballot Hall of Famers.

Michigan had the most with 11 choices, though many were late in the process Oregon did not have a player drafted for the first time in 40 years. Other highly regarded programs Penn St, Texas, Georgia and Nebraska had only 1 player drafted over the seven rounds. Power 5 conferences accounting for over 70% of all picks this year. The lower levels had 21 players chosen over 7 rounds. The highest selected non-FBS player taken this year was Ashland TE Adam Shaheen who was selected 45th overall by the Bears. Villanova DE Tanoh Kpassagnon was taken later in the 2nd round by the Chiefs.
