James Olney who has taken incapacity leave while he undergoes treatment for cancer. This is Woods’ second appointment to a Cabinet position, having served as superintendent of the Northeast District of the North Texas Conference from 1997 to 2002. It was in 2002 that she transferred to the Central Texas Conference and was named senior pastor at Overton Park (now Arborlawn) United Methodist Church in Fort Worth. Two years later, she was named senior pastor at the 520-member First United Methodist Church of Mineral Wells, the position she currently holds. See more details at www.ctcumc.org. Having fallen over 70 feet (seven stories) from a coastal precipice, landing headfirst on the sharp jagged rocks below, and still surviving, Ted listened as the Doctor told him that he had “no explanation” for how he had not been killed by the fall. It was in that moment that Ted (an insecure and “at risk” youth who had been raised by a single mother who had put him in private school and forced him to go to church) remembers knowing 2 things for sure: 1- that he was alive because a very REAL God had saved him, and 2- if this God wanted his life that bad, He could have it. From that point on, Ted says that he has tried to live his life according to the Calling that God placed on his life. In the more than 25 years that have passed since the life changing epiphany that came with his fall from a cliff, Ted has felt God develop a passion in him for the counter culture, the people that would never normally be reached by traditional outreach methods. As the Founder and Executive Director of The Reach Alliance, the parent ministry for The Extreme Tour, Stitch’s Cultural Project, and The Objective, Ted has worked with his team to develop effective, creative, and cutting edge strategies for outreach in this new millennium.

    The Letter Black Hanging On By A Thread Sarah Anthony - Vocals Mark Anthony - Vocals and Guitar Matt Beal - Bass Mat Slagle - Drums The origins of Tooth & Nail’s highly heralded hard rock acquisition The Letter Black actually dates back to the members time in Breaking the Silence. After forming in 2006, the group entered the studio independently with Travis Wyrick (P.O.D., Pillar, Disciple), followed by an impressive streak of 150 shows a year including a last minute call from the T&N to serve as a substitute for a broken up band on the otherwise successful Five 4 Five Tour alongside Dizmas and Children 18:3 (with just two weeks notice), and more recently, Skillet’s immensely successful Awake and Alive Tour. Between constant contact with the label through that all-star producer and their new manager, the Uniontown, Pennsylvania-based band turned their backs on other label offers and signed by the dotted line. Upon making it to the major label ranks, the group stumbled upon a similarly named mainstream band and soon shifted from Breaking the Silence to The Letter Black after a suggestion that stemmed from a joke between legendary Helmet front man Page Hamilton and manager Danny Hill. Outside of having a curious ring to it, the new moniker better encapsulates the band’s aggressive instrumental onslaught and literate lyrical disposition. “All of us go through different chapters in our lives,” suggests guitarist/co- songwriter Mark Anthony. “In these chapters, we write letters of good and bad times. Some letters in our chapters, we are happy to share.
