ALBANIAN CONTEMPORARY QUR’ANIC EXEGESIS: SHEIKH HAFIZ IBRAHIM DALLIU’S COMMENTARY (Tafsir Al-Quran Kontemporari Albania: Ulasan Oleh Sheikh Hafiz Ibrahim Dalliu) Hajredin Hoxha1 ABSTRACT: The objective of this study is to explore and analyze the main intellectual and religious trends and tendencies in the writings of Albanian Ulema in their dealing with Qur’anic studies, in the modern time, in the Balkan Peninsula in Europe. In conducting this study, the researcher has utilized inductive, historical, critical and analytical methodologies. The Albanian lands in the Balkan Peninsula were governed and ruled by the Islamic Ottoman Empire for almost five centuries. Historically, to some extent and despite the conflicts and clashes, Albanians were able to show to the world a very good sample of peace, unity and harmony among themselves, as a multi religious and multi ethnic society. The attention and the engagement of the Albanian Ulema with the Qur’anic sciences have been tremendous since the spread of Islam, and have to be taken into consideration. Despite the tough and serious political, economic and religious challenges in the 19th and 20th centuries, they were not distracted from conducting their learning and teaching affaires. As a result of very close contacts and relations with different ideologies, cultures and civilizations within the Ottoman mixed ethnicity and in the middle-east, the researcher based on different sources, was able to identify and discover Sunni Maturidi dogmatic approach in dealing with Quranic Exegesis in the Commentary of Sheikh Hafiz Ibrahim Dalliu-a case study. The results and conclusions of this study are to be taken into consideration also, especially when we know that the current and modern historical sources of Albania are deviated almost completely and not to be trusted at all, because they failed to show to the Albanian people a real picture of Islam. -

Bsoul1 Overview paper Khalifa University UDC 28:341 United Arab Emirates THE ISLAMIC EPISTEME OF POLITIES DEVELOPMENT IN INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS Abstract This paper illustrates the contributions of Islamic law to the development of transnational socio-political organisations that transcend racial and geopolitical fixations. Those are best enshrined in the premise of the unity of believing com- munity and humanity led to the Shari‘ah/Islamic law. Islam advocates the devel- opment and consolidation of communities. This study discusses the concept of ‘ummah’ (community of believers) according to the tradition of Prophet Muham- mad and surveys its development throughout the Islamic caliphates, sultanates, and imamates up until colonialism and modern ‘nation-state’ system. The article argues that there are ontological, epistemological, and normative differences spanning the divide between Muslim and Western worldviews especially con- cerning the development and management of their polities. The first is the origin or theoretical foundation of religion from which the conduct, behaviour, and purpose of existence are related to God and crea- tion. This is known as ‘ilm al-‘aqidah or usul al-din. And stories mean succession in narration of events one after another, such as impactor, i.e. storytelling (tracing it to the end), because it contained all the arts of the story and its elements of suspense, photography of events and logical interconnectedness, as scholars say, for example: We find that the story began with a dream Or a vision that the Prophet of God Joseph (peace be upon him) saw and ended with the fulfillment and interpretation of that dream, and we see that the shirt of our master Joseph (peace be upon him) who was used as evidence for the innocence of his brothers -

Exploring a ‘global history of international law’ is comparatively a recent phenomenon that has attracted the attention of international lawyers and historians. However most scholarly contributions that deal with the history of international law end-up in perpetuating Western Self- centrism and Euro-centrism. International law is often presented in the writings of international law scholars as a product of Western Christian states and applicable only between them. These scholars insist that the origins of modern (Post-Westphalian) international law lie in the state practice of the European nations of the sixteenth and seventeenth century. -

The poor store employee stares at him with incredulity, and simply repeats the price on the tag,· and, in response, the tourist emits this knowing and smug smile as if saying, "I know you guys, you never mean what you say; everything in Arab culture is negotiable, everything is subject to bargaining, and I will not be fooled." Of course, the tourist misses the point. -

The reality about the Prophet’s parents Shaykh Muhammad ibn ‘Alawi Maliki Translated by Abu Hanzala1 (Released by www.aqdas.co.uk) Here, we would like to clarify the confusion that Imam Abu Hanifa considered the parents of the Prophet sallAllahu 'alaihi wasallam to be disbelievers. It is proven that he recanted from this position as Shaykh Mustafa al-Hamami has written in al-Nuhdat al-Islahiya. Also, a booklet is ascribed to Mulla ‘Ali Qari called Awwalat al- Mu’taqad Abi Hanifat al-Imam fi Abawi al-Rasul 'alaihis salam in which there are writings from which we must safeguard ourselves because those words are hurtful to the Prophet sallAllahu 'alaihi wasallam and to cause him pain is a major sin. Muhaddith ibn Abi al-Dunya and ibn Asakir narrate that Durra, the daughter of Abu Lahab, once passed by a man who saw her and said: This girl is the daughter of Abu Lahab, the enemy of Allah. Durra radiyAllahu 'anha replied: Indeed Allah has mentioned my father due to his esteemed lineage whereas He has not mentioned your father due to his ignorance. She then told the Prophet sallAllahu 'alaihi wasallam of this, so the Prophet sallAllahu 'alaihi wasallam delivered a sermon saying: Do not taunt a Muslim because of a Kafir. The meaning of this advice is that do not mention the disbelievers in a way that is hurtful to the Muslims and due to which they feel sorrow. A Muslim must always be respected so much so that even if his close relatives are disbelievers, they must not be talked of in a way that would hurt the Muslim and cause him anger. -

As the Holy Quran does not directly deal with rape crime, for this reason, there is a wide range of disagreement among jurists regarding the issue of rape crime. Rape is not a single dimension issue, therefore, this paper is meant to shed light on issues related to rape such as whether or not rape is a separate crime? When does sexual intercourse amount to rape? What does Islam prescribe punishment for a person who is coerced to commit rape? Does Islam permit abortion for raped women? Why marital rape does not exist in Islam? Whether rapist may be awarded punishment of lashes, Imprisonment or death as t‘azir or syasah? This paper finds out what Zina (fornication) is under Islamic law because in Islamic jurisprudence only coerced zina is regarded as rape. Thus, this paper is classifying rape in the same category as Zina. By classifying rape as a subset of Zina can only sort out the juridical issues that are emanating from coerced Zina. -

Ghassan1* Abstract Islamic faith and the ethical dimensions of the individual and the community play a significant role in guiding economic behavior by connecting the worldly life to the hereafter. The Shariah-compliant faith and ethical values generate specific behavior that requires Halal earning, fairness in spending and Halal utility leading to materialistic satisfaction and metaphysic reward. To analyze the Muslim consumer utility, in addition to the Islamic economics heritage, we rely on the instruments and prevailing assumptions in economics. Shaibani’s (750-805 AD) analysis of earning/spending/utility is based on three successive layers of earning/spending/utility; namely, the imperative, recommended, and the permissible. In this paper, we firstly contribute to developing a measure of the overspending and underspending. Secondly, based on the social solidarity, we show that the marginal earning has an effect on the macro MPC and depends mostly on the first differences between the MPC of the lower and upper social groups. Thirdly, according to the social welfare function, the permissible marginal utility is related to the faith interaction driving to an efficient transfer of purchasing capabilities to the targeted group. The optimal faithful behavior of affluent group leads, in the worldly life, to an elasticity of marginal utility less than or equal to one. -

While Timurid fine art such as miniature painting has been extensively studied, the literary production of the era has not been fully explored. Abd al-Rahman Jami (817/1414- 898/1492), the most renowned poet of the Timurids, is among those Timurid poets who have not been methodically studied in Iran and the West. Although, Jami was recognized by his contemporaries as a major authority in several disciplines, such as science, philosophy, astronomy, music, art, and most important of all poetry, he has yet not been entirely acknowledged in the post Timurid era. This dissertation highlights the significant contribution of Jami, the great poet and Sufi thinker of the fifteenth century, who is regarded as the last great classical poet of Persian literature. It discusses his influence on Persian literature, his central role in the Naqshbandi Order, and his input in clarifying Ibn Arabi's thought. Jami spent most of his life in Herat, the main center for artistic ability and aptitude in the fifteenth century; the city where Jami grew up, studied, flourished and produced a variety of prose and poetry.
