The Opera House owes Bob a tremendous debt for his expert stewardship through many important developments. His passion, professionalism and perseverance were crucial to the significant achievements of the Vehicle Access and Pedestrian Safety project. He presided over the Building Committee as the Opera House was inscribed on the State (2003), National (2005) and UNESCO World Heritage (2007) lists, which recognise the unique qualities of Jørn Utzon’s extraordinary landmark and help to ensure it will be appropriately protected and conserved. Bob also played a key role in establishing the Eminent Architects Panel and in the publication of the Conservation Management Plan (3rd Edition), the Sydney Opera House Renewal Framework and Utzon’s Gold Book, as well as countless building improvement and major maintenance projects. Andrews is making a highly anticipated return to Belvoir to direct his own play, Every Breath, for its world premiere. Andrews has created dozens of thrilling productions in an internationally successful career. He has been the recipient of numerous Best Director awards, both in Sydney and Europe. As well as Every Breath, Andrews‟ The Marriage of Figaro for Opera Australia is now playing at the Sydney Opera House, Gross und Klein (Sydney Theatre Company) is set to tour Europe, and his production of Caligula opens in May at the English National Opera. Despite such an international focus, Andrews relishes the opportunity to return to Belvoir. „I always enjoy returning to Belvoir,‟ he says. „I love the theatre‟s special intimacy… I‟m very pleased that Every Breath will come into the world there…‟ Every Breath features a stellar cast. Warm-natured, sun-kissed, and naturally good looking, Sydney is rather like its lucky, lucky residents. Situated on one of the world's most striking harbors, where the twin icons of the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge steal the limelight, the relaxed Australian city is surprisingly close to nature. Within minutes you can be riding the waves on Bondi Beach, bushwalking in Manly, or gazing out across Botany Bay, where the first salt-encrusted Europeans arrived in the 18th century. Collect your luggage and move through customs and immigration. Meet your local Australian Tour Manager and load the coach. Depart on a Sydney Orientation Tour including stops in the Central Business District, Eastern Suburbs and Bondi Beach. Afternoon Lunch on own at Bondi Beach.
