Our cover depicts an adult Tantilla rubra, found on the eastern versant of the Sierra Madre Oriental of Tamaulipas, Mexico . The was found during the summer rainy season on a sunny limestone slope of pine, oak, and agave . The image was recorded by Robert Hansen, long-time editor of Herpetological Review . Hansen has made a number of trips to Mexico, most recently in conjunction with studies of kingsnakes of the Lampropeltis mexicana complex . In addition to Hansen, the field crew on this trip consisted of Tim Burkhardt, Terry Hibbitts, Troy Hibbitts, and Ron Savage . ' © Danté Fenolio
