Nepal - Muktinath Yatra | 04 Nights / 05 Days Nepal - Muktinath Yatra | 04 Nights / 05 Days HIGHLIGHTS Pokhara : Bindabasini Temple | Gupteshwor Mahadev cave | Davis Falls Kathmandu : Pashupatinath Temple ITINERARY Day 01 ARRIVAL KATHMANDU (1300 m) Meeting at airport upon arrival by Office Personnel. Transfer to hotel. Kathmandu is the capital of Nepal and the Kathmandu Valley is the political and cultural heart of the Kingdom. The urban sprawl that makes up modern Kathmandu is in fact two cities, Patan and Kathmandu. Overnight : Hotel Shankar or similar in Kathmandu Meals : Dinner Day 02 Kathmandu - Pokhara Early morning, visit the Pashupatinath Temple which is one of the most significant Hindu temples of Lord Shiva in the world, located on the banks of the Bagmati River in the eastern part of Kathmandu. The temple serves as the seat of the national deity, Lord Pashupatinath. The temple is listed in UNESCO World Heritage Sites list. Later, we visit Guheshwori Shaktipith, is one of the revered holy temples in Kathmandu. This temple is dedicated to Adi Shakti. Thereafter, drive to the airport in Kathmandu to board your flight to Pokhara. Assistance upon arrival by hotel coach in Pokhara and then transfer to Hotel. Evening free to stroll around the lakeside.This afternoon you will visit Bindebasini Temple. This is one of the oldest temples in Pokhara was a part of Kaski Kingdom, the main deity of the temple, Goddess Durga, was brought from India . Apart from the peace and tranquility that can be felt in this region, the premises of the temple offers a good view of the Himalaya on a clear day. The temple is in the area of the bazaar; hence a journey of the old bazaar can be combined with a visit to the temple. Sightseeing to Devi’s fall, also known as Patale Chango is an awesome waterfall lying 2 km southwest of Pokhara. During summer and rainy Overnight : Hotel Lake Side Retreat or similar in Pokhara season, the waterfall takes its real form, with gushing water splashing and making Meals : Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner its way through the rocks. Just opposite of Devi’s fall, on the other side of the road, there is Gupteshwor Cave. This cave is popular for the different natural forms made Day 03 from limestone deposits. Photography is strictly prohibited inside the cave. Overnight at hotel. Pokhara / Jomsom After Breakfast, early morning fly to Jomsom. Upon arrival at Jomsom, walk over to the hotel which is 2 minutes from the airport. Please do note that Jomsom is a small village in the Mountains. Only basic accommodation is available here. The clients will have to walk from the airport to the hotel which takes about 5 minutes. Porters are sent to the airport by the hotel to carry the luggage. 15 Kg luggage per adult and 7 kg per child is allowed by the airlines on this sector. The aircraft is a Twin Otter or Doniar - average 15-18 seats. DARSHAN OF MUKTINATH TEMPLE. To visit Muktinath, the clients will have to walk for about 15-20 minutes over the Kali Gandaki River. Here there is no means of transport as on the river there is a narrow bridge - vehicles cannot cross. After crossing the bridge take the Jeep on sharing basis for Muktinath. Originally the route from Jomsom to Muktinath was a trekkers route only. Recently the route has been widened and 4x4 vehicles can only drive. The path is a Dirt road. The ride is Bumpy all the way. The drive takes about 1.5 hours one way. Upon arrival at Muktinath it is another 30 minutes walk from the base to the Temple. Darshan on your own of Muktinath & following the same route return to Jomsom. Overnight : Hotel Oms Home or similar in Jomsom Meals : Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Day 04 Jomsom / Pokhara / Kathmandu Early morning Fly to Kathmandu via Pokhara. On arrival at Airport in Kathmandu, get transferred to your hotel. Overnight : Hotel Shankar or similar in Kathmandu Meals : Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Day 05 KATHMANDU – ONWARD DESTINATION Final departure: You will be picked up from your hotel on time and transfer to airport for your onward destination. The Commission carried out thorough investigation and extensive analysis of the available information and evidences, statements and interviews with concerned persons, study of reports, records and documents etc. The Commission had submitted some interim safety recommendations as immediate remedial measures. The Commission in its final report presented safety recommendations to be implemented by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal and Nepal Airlines Corporation respectively.

    Upper Mustang Overview Travelling through the forbidden lands of Upper Mustang is rare and a privilege. Experience the true life or real mountain people of Nepal. Trekking in this region is similar to trekking in Tibet, which geographically is part of the Upper Mustang. In the Mustang, the soul of a man is still considered to be as real as oneself. The region was part of the Tibetan Kingdom of Gungthang until 1830’s. Lo Monthang, the unofficial capital is a fabled medieval wall city still remaining a Kingdom within the Kingdom. It is full of cultural and religious heritage. Its early history is embellished in myth and legends. The Mustang has preserved its status as an independent principality until 1951. Lo Monthang still has a King to which the rank of Colonel was given in the Nepalese Army. Required number of participants: min 2, max 12 The start dates refer to the arrival date in Kathmandu and the end date refers to the earliest you can book for our return flight home. When departing from Europe allow for an overnight flight to Kathmandu, but on the return it is possible to depart in the morning and arrive on the same day. Private trips are welcomed if the scheduled dates do not fit, although we do require a minimum of three people in any team. Hindu believes that lord Vishnu got salvation from curse of Brinda (wife of Jalandhar) here. Therefore he is worshipped as Muktinath (Lit. the lord of salvation). The holy shrine, which is said to have risen on its own, is one of eight such shrines (the others include Srirangam, Sri Mushnam, Tirupati, Naimisaranyam, Thottadri, Pushkaram and Badrinath). This Pagoda Style Muktinath Temple is also one of 108 Vaishnava shrines. Here in the early 19th century the Hindus consecrated a Vishnu temple and named is Muktinath - Lord of Liberation. Against a backdrop of incredible starkness you can sit and stare to the south the snow covered Annapurna range, or to the north the Tibetan plateau Importances: According to Hindu Myth it is belief that this world is "MAYA" (an illusion) of life cycle of birth and rebirth. Everybody seek to get rid of this cycle and get nirvana. A visit to Muktinath will help to achieve this goal. There are 108 waterspouts in the back yard of this temple called as Muktidhara where froozen water are continuously flowing from the bull head and two Kunda (ponds in front of the temple).
