1. Name of Instrument This Instrument is the Race and Sports Bookmaking (Sports Bookmaking Events) Determination 2005 (No 1). 2. Revocation I revoke determination DI2003-258 dated 18 August 2003 and notified under the Legislation Register on 28 August 2003. 3. Determination I determine that the approved sports bookmaking events are as specified in the Schedule to this instrument.

SCHEDULE

(1) Academy Awards

(1) The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Awards (Oscars) as scheduled, sanctioned and determined by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

(2) American Football

(1) Each senior level professional match in the American National Football League (NFL) as scheduled and sanctioned by the NFL. (2) Each Division I collegiate football match scheduled and sanctioned by the National Collegiate Athletic Association. (3) Each senior level Grey Cup Championship match as scheduled and sanctioned by the League. (4) Each senior level match in the Arena Football league as scheduled and sanctioned by the Arena Football League.

(3) Athletics (track and field)

(1) Each World Championship event and all finals as scheduled and sanctioned by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF). (2) Each Grand Prix event scheduled and sanctioned by Athletics Australia. (3) Each international athletic event included in the IAAF program as scheduled and sanctioned by the IAAF.

(4) Australian Rules Football

(1) Each senior level match and all finals in the Australian Football League (AFL) premiership as scheduled and sanctioned by the AFL. (2) Each senior level AFL “State of Origin” match as scheduled and sanctioned by the AFL. (3) Each senior level AFL State Championship match as scheduled and sanctioned by the AFL. (4) Each senior level AFL international match as scheduled and sanctioned by the AFL.

(1) Each Major League Baseball (MLB) match in the United States National Baseball League and American Baseball League as scheduled and sanctioned by the MLB. (2) Each Division 1 collegiate baseball match as scheduled and sanctioned by the National Collegiate Athletic Association. (3) Each MLB World Series baseball match as scheduled and sanctioned by the MLB.

(6) Basketball

(1) Each first division match and all finals in the Australian National Basketball League (NBL) competition as scheduled and sanctioned by the NBL. (2) Each first division match and all finals in the Australian Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL) competition as scheduled and sanctioned by the WNBL. (3) Each senior level National and International match as scheduled and sanctioned by Basketball Australia. (4) Each World Championship for Men match and all finals scheduled and sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de Basketball (FIBA) including all Continental Zone Championships, including all qualifying and games for this championship. (5) Each World Championship for Women match and all finals scheduled and sanctioned by FIBA including all Continental Zone Championships, and all qualifying tournaments and games for this championship. (6) Each senior level international match and all finals included in the international calendar, as scheduled and sanctioned by FIBA. (7) Each European National Team for Men Competition match and all finals included in the international calendar, as scheduled and sanctioned by FIBA. (8) Each European National Team for Women Competition match and all finals included in the international calendar as scheduled and sanctioned by FIBA. (9) Each Champions Cup match and all finals as scheduled and sanctioned by FIBA. (10) Each senior level professional match as scheduled and sanctioned by the United States National Basketball Association. (11) Each senior level United States collegiate match as scheduled and sanctioned by the National Collegiate Athletic Association. (12) Each senior level European Championship match as scheduled and sanctioned by FIBA. (13) Each senior level first division match as scheduled and sanctioned by FIBA.

(7) Boxing

(1) Each senior level professional bout scheduled and sanctioned by the World Boxing Council, the International Boxing Federation, World Boxing Association or the World Boxing Organisation.

(8) Commonwealth Games events

(1) Each Commonwealth Games sporting event as scheduled and sanctioned by the Commonwealth Games Federation.

(9) Cricket

(1) Each Test Match and any series of Test Matches as provided by the International Cricket Council (ICC) Classification of Cricket. (2) Each One Day International match and any series of One Day Internationals matches as provided by the ICC Classification of Official Cricket. (3) Each Australian domestic first-class match and all finals (Pura Cup) and all other first class cricket matches played within Australia as provided by the ICC Classification of Official Cricket. (4) Each Australian Interstate one-day limited overs match and all finals (ING Cup) as scheduled and sanctioned by the Australian Cricket Board (ACB). (5) Each First Class cricket match and series of matches played outside Australia as provided by the ICC Classification of Official Cricket.

(10) Cycling

(1) The Tour de France as scheduled and sanctioned by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). (2) The Herald Sun Tour as scheduled and sanctioned by Cycling Australia (CA). (3) Each senior level Australian Men’s championship event as scheduled and sanctioned by CA. (4) Each senior level Australian Women’s championship event as scheduled and sanctioned by CA. (5) Each World Championship event as scheduled and sanctioned by the UCI.

(11) Darts

(1) Each senior level World Championship event as scheduled and sanctioned by the World Darts Federation.

(6) The Ryder Cup as scheduled and sanctioned by the PGA. (7) World Match Play championship as scheduled and sanctioned by the International Federation of PGA tours. (8) Each other senior level event as scheduled and sanctioned by the PGA of America. (9) Each other senior event as scheduled and sanctioned by the European PGA. (10) Each other senior level event as scheduled and sanctioned by the PGA of Japan. (11) Each other senior level event as scheduled and sanctioned by the PGA of South Africa.

(13) Greyhound Racing

(1) Each Australian Metropolitan, provincial and country greyhound race meeting as scheduled and sanctioned by the relevant State or Territory greyhound racing controlling body. (2) Each North American race meeting conducted by the Racing Commission of the relevant US or Canadian greyhound racing jurisdiction.

(14) Harness Racing

(1) Each Australian Metropolitan, provincial and country harness race meeting as scheduled and sanctioned by the relevant State or Territory harness racing controlling body. (2) The Interdominion Championship. (3) The New Zealand Cup. (4) Each North American race meeting conducted by the Racing Commission of the relevant US or Canadian harness racing jurisdiction.

(5) Each first division match in the Swedish Elitserien Hockey League as scheduled and sanctioned by the Swedish Ice Hockey Association.

(1) Each Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain IronMan Series event as scheduled and sanctioned by Surf Life Saving Australia. (2) Each Kellogg’s Nutri-grain Ironwoman Series event as scheduled and sanctioned by Surf Life Saving Australia. (3) Each International World Life Saving event as scheduled and sanctioned by the International Life Saving Federation.

(1) Each Formula One Grand Prix event as scheduled and sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA). (2) Each Champ Car Grand Prix event as scheduled and sanctioned by the Championship Auto Racing Teams (CART) (3) Each “IRL Indy Car” Grand Prix event as scheduled and sanctioned by the Indy Racing League. (4) Each Nextel Cup and Busch Series racing event as scheduled and sanctioned by the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing. (5) Each Australian Vee Eight Supercar Company “V8 Supercar Series” event as scheduled and sanctioned by the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport (CAMS). (6) Each World Rally Championship event as scheduled and sanctioned by the FIA. (7) Each Australian Rally Championship event as scheduled and sanctioned by CAMS. (8) Each Senior Class Motogrand Prix event in the Road Racing World Championship scheduled and sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de Motorcyclisme (FIM). (20) Political Elections

(1) United States of America National and State elections as scheduled, sanctioned and determined by the relevant National and State electoral authority. (2) Australian Federal elections as scheduled, sanctioned and determined by the Australian Electoral Commission. (3) Australian State and Territory elections as scheduled, sanctioned and determined by the relevant State or Territory electoral authority. (4) United Kingdom national elections as scheduled, sanctioned and determined by the relevant electoral authority.

(21) Quarter Horse Racing

(1) Each North American quarter horse race meeting as scheduled and sanctioned by the Racing Commission or Authority of the relevant United States or Canadian quarter horse racing jurisdiction.

(22) Rowing

(1) Each senior level World Rowing Championship event as scheduled and sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale des Sociétés d’Aviron.

(23) Rugby League

(1) Each senior level match and all finals in the National Rugby League (NRL) premiership as scheduled and sanctioned by the NRL. (2) Each senior level match in the NRL sanctioned New South Wales Country v City series. (3) Each senior level match in the NRL sanctioned State of Origin series. (4) International senior level test matches sanctioned by the Rugby League International Federation. (5) Each senior level match in the United Kingdom Rugby Super League Championship as scheduled and sanctioned by the United Kingdom Rugby Football League.

(24) Rugby Union

(1) Each senior level match and all finals as scheduled and sanctioned by the Australian Rugby Union (ARU) in accordance with the ARU Match Schedule, including all “Bundaberg Rum Rugby Series”, “Tri Nations Series” (conducted by South Africa New Zealand Australia Rugby (SANZAR)) matches and finals and International Rugby Board (IRB) Sevens Tournaments but excluding Community Rugby fixtures.

(1) Each First Division match and all finals conducted in Australia, including premiership and pre-season competition matches scheduled and sanctioned by Soccer Australia. (2) Each FA (Football Association) Cup match and all finals scheduled and sanctioned by the England Football Association (FA). (3) Each match, including Premier League and Divisions 1 to 4, scheduled and sanctioned by the England FA. (4) Each match, including Premier League and Divisions 1 and 2, scheduled and sanctioned by the Scottish FA. (5) Each European Club competition match and all finals scheduled and sanctioned by the European Confederation of the Fédération Internationale de Football Associations (FIFA). (1) The Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race as scheduled and sanctioned by the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia. (2) The America’s Cup as scheduled and sanctioned by the Event Authority associated with the previous winner. (3) The Admiral’s Cup as scheduled and sanctioned by the Royal Ocean racing Club.
