The broadcasts can also be heard around the world by logging onto www.gofrogs.com. All games are broadcast live with the pregame show beginning 15 minutes before first pitch. Calling all the action for the Frogs is Chuck LaMendola. The 2011 campaign marks La- Mendola’s 15th season behind the microphone as the voice of Horned Frog baseball. A new feature to the world wide web in 2010 saw LaMendola move to the television side as TCU’s Radio-Film-Digital Media department broadcast a majority of the 2010 home sched- ule, providing multiple camera angels and commentary for the webstreaming. The games will also air either on a live telecast or tape-delayed on The Mtn., a television station dedicated to all Mountain West Conference sports. That tradition will continue this season with 20 games set to be broadcast. As a full time faculty member in TCU’s Radio-Film-Digital Media department, LaMendola teaches television and film production as well as classes in the sports broadcasting area within the department. His Remote Sports Broadcasting class is responsible for the images on the video board during Horned Frog football, basketball and baseball games. LaMendola’s play-by-play broadcast of TCU baseball has been honored twice. The broadcaster earned a National Award of Distinction in 2002 and the 2004 Communicator Award. Chuck and his wife, Kelly, have two daughters, Francesca, who is a freshman at TCU, and Juliana. The LaMendola family resides in Burleson.
