H2O’Brien Group Swim Policies (2021)

Age Restrictions – -Ages 5yrs and under - Must be accompanied in the water (in a ) by a parent/guardian 16 years or older. All children must be within a reasonable distance for a parent/guardian to safely assist the child if needed, typically within arm’s reach. Wrist will be given to all children 5 yrs and under to show supervision is needed. -Ages 6 yrs and up- Must be actively observed from the deck by a parent/guardian 16 yrs or older unless they are non-swimmers, they must have a parent/guardian in the water (in a swimsuit) within arm’s reach. Any child using a personal floatation device must be accompanied by an adult in the water, within arms reach.

Ratios: -1/3 for 5 yrs and under with a parent/guardian in the water (in a swim ); 1/10 for 6yrs and up parent/guardian actively observing children from deck unless children are non-swimmers, they must have a parent/guardian in the water (in a swimsuit) within arm’s reach. - Day Camps/Daycares Only: 1/5 for 5yrs and under with a Guardian/Counselor in the water (in a swim suit); 1/10 for 6yrs and up Guardian/Counselor actively observing children from deck (unless children are non-swimmers, they must have a Guardian/Counselor in the water (in a swimsuit) within arm’s reach. Failure to maintain proper adult/child ratios may result in a child sitting out or group being asked to leave the pool.

Water Slides and Play Structures: H2O’Brien Slides: Red Slide - Children must be over 48”-tall to ride the slide. Blue Slide- Children must be over 52”-tall to ride the slide. No exceptions on height. Only fitted surf/ type are allowed on the slides. No , t-shirts, , , goggles or jewelry that can scratch the slides are allowed. No spinning, twisting, stopping, or going head first. Correct position for the blue slide is feet first and laying down on your back. Correct position for the red slide is feet first and sitting up or laying down on your back. Non-Swimming Children All non-swimmers should stay in the shallow water and be within an arm’s reach of a parent/guardian. It is recommended that non-swimmers use a Coast Guard approved life . Shaded Areas Covered areas providing shade cannot be guaranteed. However, covered areas can be rented for a fee to ensure availability. Please contact Angie at 303-805-3279 for reservation information. Flotation Devices Only Coast Guard-approved Lifejackets (available for your use free of charge, see lifejacket stand). No life on the slide. Any child using a personal flotation device must be accompanied by an adult in the water, within arm’s reach at all times. Weather For safety reasons, the pool must close during lightning storms. Staff may delay opening, or close due to inclement weather. Refunds/rain checks are not given if weather turns inclement after the pool opens. Safety Breaks Three safety breaks are held each day when the pool is cleared for 10 minutes: 12:50pm, 2:50pm and 4:50pm. Times are subject to change. Please have your group exit the pool in a timely . Food/Drinks Patrons are welcome to bring their own food and beverages into the pool area. No glass or alcohol is allowed at H2O’Brien Pool. Young children are required to wear tight fitting rubber pants and swim diapers. Swim diapers are available at the front desk for $1.

General Rules • No running, pushing, shoving, dunking, or horseplay. No flips, cannon balls, belly flops, diving, or twisting jumps off the side/edge of pool. • No extended breath holding. • No glass, no alcohol, no pets, no tobacco or nicotine products including electronic cigarettes. • Proper swim attire is required for all swimmers. Underwear or street does not constitute proper attire. • The Town of Parker is not responsible for lost or stolen items; please secure your items appropriately. • Staff reserves the right to refuse service to any person or group that does not comply with the rules and policies of the facility. Additional Rules are posted at the pool. Patrons are responsible for reading and obeying all posted rules.

Arrival We recommend that you arrive by 9:45am to H2O’Brien to ensure that your group can be accommodated, as we do not reserve spaces for groups if we meet capacity for the day. When your group arrives at H2O’Brien, please have your group line up outside of the gates off to the side in two lines: LINE 1: Ages 5 and under and LINE 2: Ages 6 and over. This will help move the wristband process along more quickly and accurately. Have one staff member come to the Party/Group Window with your group name and let us know you’re ready for wristbands. Remember that all guests in the group who enter the pool area will be charged; even if they are not swimming. Group Orientation To help ensure a successful visit, a pool will manager will go over pool rules with the group before any of the group is allowed in the water. Please let staff know when your group is ready for the orientation. Orientation will take place each visit to the pool, since the groups participants change.

Reservations: Groups (10 or more) are required to notify us of their planned use of the pool 48 hours (business) in advance for safety purpose and to receive the group rate. Group Rate: $4.00/person with advance notification and completed agreement. No refunds for inclement weather. COVID-19 Agreements: *You agree to provide a roster for my group to H2O’Brien staff the day of the field trip. *It is up to the group to ensure that no guests have any COVID-19 symptoms. *Your group will not attend if any of our participant’s (staff and children) have a temperature of 100.4 or higher or if any of our participants (staff and children) exhibit any of the other COVID-19 symptoms, as identified by the CDC. *You agree that all participants 10 years and older will wear masks while in the pool lobby. Payment Policy: We accept cash, credit card, and business checks (no overages). Cancellations: If you know your group won’t be coming to the pool and you’ve made reservations, please call the pool at 720- 851-5873 between 9a-6p. If before 9am, please call 303-805-3279 and leave a voicemail.
