Demonstrations of hope by the attractions industry are being seen and enjoyed worldwide. Kentucky Kingdom took out bill boards throughout Lousiville reminding the community that they were in this together with them (above left). Playland's Castaway Cove showed everyone they can always look forward to the future by keeping its Ferris wheel illuminated (above right). Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando Resort illuminated several of the resorts' hotel towers with hearts (Universal's Aventura pictured right). Carnival Cruise ships were seen off the coast of Florida with the message "We will be back" lit up across them (below right). Entertaining guests in their homes, Disneyland's Dapper Dans (below left) performed live via the internet, taking requests and harmonizing from their living rooms. I didn’t want to come on this trip. I would have rather been working. My mom made me go on the trip because she thought I would have fun and because I should get more involved in Girls Inc. I didn’t want to come on the trip because I wanted to stay with my mom and my sister. When I got on the bus I wasn’t as excited as everyone else but now that I am here, I am glad my mom made me come. I’ve met new people, visited new places and had loads of fun. If it wasn’t for my mom, I wouldn’t be here and for that I thank her and want to tell her myself. – Kelsey 1 Page My name is Deja’nae, I am 13 years old. I have been going to Girls Inc. for 8 years. I like Girls Inc. because it has given me lots of opportunities, this trip being one of them…What I hope to get out of this trip is an experience to see placed I’ve never seen before…I hope to take plenty of pictures and capture lots of memories. As expected, along with the reopen- ings came many health and safe- ty changes. For the parks, it will be far from business as usual for the foreseeable future due to the necessary reduced capacities and new or enhanced health and safety measures. Because of the global visibility of the Florida parks, all industry eyes have been on these parks to see what their reopening plans include, with major focus on what health and safety measures have been made, how they are being administered and how they are being enforced.
