Omaggio a Grazia Deledda” e che traendo ispirazione dal monumento che Maria Lai dedicò alla scrittrice nuorese, ha impegnato le tessitrici sarde nella realizzazione degli arazzi che andranno a costituire la prima opera d’arte tessile dell’Isola. IL PRIMO PROGETTO DI FILIERA DELLA TESSITURA Nato da un’idea di Giuditta Sireus, manager culturale villacidrese, “Andando via. Omaggio a Grazia Deledda” ha unito ventidue centri tessili nella realizzazione di un’opera corale senza precedenti. Ciascun arazzo è stato tessuto secondo la tradizione tessile della comunità di provenienza, in un’ottica di valorizzazione delle specificità locali, anche grazie a un’approfondita ricerca svolta dall’ideatrice, da Chiara Manca, curatrice d’arte e responsabile scientifica del progetto, e da Paulina Herrera Letelier, la designer che ha riprodotto i disegni originali di Maria Lai, gentilmente messi a disposizione dall’Archivio Maria Lai e dalla sua presidente — nonché erede dell’artista di Ulassai — Maria Sofia Pisu. Il progetto ha saputo creare una rete tra i laboratori tessili e i territori in cui operano, favorendo la collaborazione tra le tessitrici, impegnate per la prima volta in un comune progetto di filiera. Ciascun centro tessile ha, infatti, riportato su tessuto uno dei disegni realizzati da Maria Lai per il monumento “Andando via”, sito a pochi passi dalla chiesa della Solitudine di Nuoro, dedicato a Grazia Deledda e ai suoi personaggi femminili.
