  • Edmonton Elite Football Club Sponsorship Package 2021 Season
Edmonton Elite Football Club Sponsorship Package 2021 Season To whom it may concern, The Edmonton Elite Football Club is a non-profit semi-professional men's football team. We are proud members of the Alberta Football League (AFL) and Canadain Major Football League (CMFL). The AFL affords athletes, new and experienced, the opportunity to continue, advance or start their careers in a competitive, full contact league which spans across Alberta. The AFL prides itself on giving athletes the opportunity to continue to achieve their goals within the realm of football. A number of athletes have made the leap from the AFL to the Canadian Junior Football League (CJFL) or USports (University Football). Athletes have also made the transition from the CJFL, USports or other football leagues to the AFL and eventually into the Canadian Football League (CFL). As a member of the CMFL, there is an annual opportunity to compete at the national level for the CMFL National Championship against a team from the Northern Football Conference (NFC) based in Ontario and Quebec. The National Championship is hosted on a rotating year to year basis between the winner of the NFC and AFL. A sponsorship established with the Edmonton Elite Football Club could see your company and brand spanning a much larger market and demographic. We are seeking your support and donations, to assist with our 2021 season in the AFL. Providing a semi-professional environment brings about some large expenses in the form of, but not limited to; field rentals, officials, player and practice equipment, player insurance, travel, accommodations, team issued swag and team jerseys to list a few.

  • Keeping Ottawa Honest—One Tweet at a Time? Politicians, Journalists, Wikipedians, and Their Twitter Bots
International Journal of Communication 10(2016), 4891–4914 1932–8036/20160005 Keeping Ottawa Honest—One Tweet at a Time? Politicians, Journalists, Wikipedians, and Their Twitter Bots HEATHER FORD1 University of Leeds, UK ELIZABETH DUBOIS University of Ottawa, Canada CORNELIUS PUSCHMANN Hans-Bredow-Institute for Media Research, Germany WikiEdits bots are a class of Twitter bot that announce edits made by Wikipedia users editing under government IP addresses, with the goal of making government editing activities more transparent. This article examines the characteristics and impact of transparency bots, bots that make visible the edits of institutionally affiliated individuals by reporting them on Twitter. We map WikiEdits bots and their relationships with other actors, analyzing the ways in which bot creators and journalists frame governments’ participation in Wikipedia. We find that, rather than providing a neutral representation of government activity on Wikipedia, WikiEdits bots and the attendant discourses of the journalists that reflect the work of such bots construct a partial vision of government contributions to Wikipedia as negative by default. This has an impact on the public discourse about governments’ role in the development of public information, a consequence that is distinct from the current discourses that characterize transparency bots. Keywords: bots, Wikipedia, Twitter bots, algorithmic politics, journalism Heather Ford: [email protected] Elizabeth Dubois: [email protected] Cornelius Puschmann: [email protected] Date submitted: 2016–08–10 1 We would like to thank the University of Leeds Researcher Mobility Award that supported a portion of travel for this research. We note that the first part of this article’s title is the headline from a story about WikiEdits bots by Alex Boutilier for the Toronto Star (July 16, 2014).
